Sniper Elite III review

Introduction It’s ironic that so soon after the release of Enemy Front, another title with a very different outlook on war has stealthily marched onto the scene. In Sniper Elite III, rather than making you think about the needless loss of life with the gory, slow-motion glory of every rifle shot, shattered skull, splintered bone, and ruptured internal organ, as you cut your way through a legion of soldiers Gameplay Set during the North African campaign of the Second World War, the games Kicks off during the Siege of Tobruk, as the elite sharpshooter you fend off a German attack and are recruited by British Intelligence, who ask him to investigate reports of a German General working on a mystery weapon that [well do I need to tell this] “could spell defeat for the Allies”. Killcam Mania 😉 T...

Murdered Soul Suspect Review

Murdered: Soul Suspect is a game about Detective Ronan O’Connor, who has to go about solving his own murder from the afterlife before he can move on, presumably to Heaven. It’s based in Salem, Massachusetts, famous for the Salem Witch Trials, wherein a bunch of crazy people accused many women and girls of being witches, and burned them at the stake. Murdered: Soul Suspect is for a very specific kind of gamer. I kind of liked it, despite (and occasionally because of) the fact that I recognised its many, many flaws, but a lot of people will see those flaws and catch the first train out of town. The bigger issue at play here is the fact that the crime-solving isn’t very interesting, since there’s not much to actually solve. You don’t need to find every clue to progress (only enoug...

Unmonkey Gaming Merchandise Review

We are continuing with the whole gaming clothing line thing and this time we’ve got a pretty rad company for you. These guys are Unmonkey and they’ve got quite an interesting philosophy that they follow.  Their main agenda is to create a new trend in fashion and style by simply putting down creative designs on some quality t-shirts. Sounds fairly straightforward right? That’s cause it is. They feel that the “monkey see monkey do” mindset of people has to change, so as to live more fulfilling lives, and their name pertains to this exact train of thought.  The two geniuses behind all this are Nithun and Aditya who we believe are from down south in Chennai.  So these guys have just started off, how about we go ahead and be nice people by liking their page on face...

Watchdogs Review: The game hits the sweet spot

Watchdog is one of year’s most-hyped games we go through this epic technology fable for our times. We hack our way through Watch Dogs. Hackers sure seem like a mystical bunch of people, in the deepest, darkest corners of the internet. It’s a world that’s a mystery to most, until now. The brilliance of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs with next-gen hope and hype piled high upon it – is that it simplifies the hacking experience for everyone to enjoy. Watch Dogs dispenses with the multiple Matrix-style screens of computer code, providing an open world teeming with easily accessible hacking options available to anyone armed with a smartphone. It’s set in the beautifully rendered city of Chicago, where hacking is as simple as pushing a button. That’s thanks to a ci...

An evening with NudeAudio Move M :)

Well it is not always that you get gadget reviews from us 🙂 But we couldn’t help when we got hold of this beauty. NudeAudio’s Move M is unlike most of the bluetooth speakers in the market with a premium feel at a not so premium price 🙂 It comes with a 4” by 4” footprint and is very portable. Move M has a traditional fine-perforated grill that feels like painted metal, plus a tiny hole for a small microphone breathe. M is the only model in the series with speakerphone functionality which can come in handy for your Skype calls. The speakerphone is quite good and certainly better than a lot of the current smartphones, it can be heard outdoors in light wind, though callers may tell you that you’re a little harder to hear. Pairing only needs to be done once per device, and takes jus...

CM Storm Pulse-R Review

Design The aluminium headset sorta speaks for itself when it comes to looks and design. The white-LED lighting really stands out in a very subtle way and isn’t too much “in your face” kind of things. It definitely looks pretty solid and the visible screws on each ear piece add to its sturdy-look. The Pulse-R is equipped with a detachable noise-cancelling microphone for voice chat so that you don’t have to yell across the room while you’re trying to fend off your opponents. The tip of the microphone lights up too, which again adds to the subtle look of the hardware. The headset itself is quite stunning and does grab a lot of attention, but its the skills that you need to set yourself apart from the other gamers, not your machinery. The cushioned ear cups are a ...

Review: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Gameplay Let’s not ignore that Ground Zeroes is short but it packs the punch and if you are a perfectionist then it is close to 10+ hours of gameplay to say the least. An opening cutscene, which is almost exactly the same as the original announcement trailer, sets the scene. Chico and Paz – which you’ll remember from Peace Walker– are in a prison camp, and you’ve gone in to rescue them. This is Kojima, so the story is more intricate than that, but I won’t spoil it for you. All I will say is that it ties together all the trailers you’ve seen for Metal Gear Solid V, and it has me waiting for the full title. In a first for the series, Ground Zeroes is billed as open world, though in truth that’s a little generous. The entire prison camp map is open from the start, with the ability to approac...

Thief lands on your console full of potential, but loses the plot midway

We were really excited with the build-up to this game and we’re a bit let down with the fact that Thief is a game that fails to step into the shoes of its predecessor in some ways. It is a game that lands on your console full of potential, but loses its steam midway. There are good things about this game, and they bear mentioning. This is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic Thief series, which is given a lot of credit for inventing the modern stealth game. So all you guys who have love stealth games, you should be excited 🙂 A visual update has been made which makes the game look wonderful when it’s running, though we have not checked out the first version of the game since it was release quite a long time back. The movement of the main character Garret, looks and feels great, and he ...
