Immortal: Unchained is a hardcore action RPG set in a dark, sci-fi universe – a unique take on a well-known sub-genre, blending a third-person action shooter with a hardcore RPG, coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2018. This is the end; the game’s central character is unwillingly unchained and released by the warden. Given only the instruction that time is running out for the world and that your skills are now needed, you must set off with no memory of who you are or what you do, and find any information you can from the game and the characters you meet. However, the truth is not always clear as characters will always put their own agenda first, and discovering the truth is just as much a challenge as the gameplay and just as much...

Sony has some of the best games of 2017 exclusively on the Playstation 4, and the Switch already has more exclusives this year than the last two years combined for the Xbox One. Things are looking bad indeed for Microsoft, specially with the launch of the Xbox One X getting rapidly closer. Crackdown 3 has also been delayed till next year, and the console is truly starved for exclusives. It an attempt to put a positive spin on the situation, Microsoft has had to make some rather wild claims at Gamescom this year, saying that “People pick Xbox because we have the biggest franchises, the biggest exclusives”. Here’s what Aaron Greenberg had to say: “People pick Xbox because we have the big...
Microsoft recently posted its Q4 earnings report, in which it reported an income of $6.5 billion on revenues of $23.3 billion. Commenting on Microsoft’s latest quarterly earnings report, respected journalist and Microsoft insider Paul Thurrott, had the following to say: One of the dirty little secrets of Microsoft’s Xbox/gaming business is that it has never actually turned a profit. So I was curious to hear Mr. Nadella utter these contorted words last night: “Our gaming business is now more than $9 billion, and growing profitably.” So. $9 billion is revenues, not profits. So growing means that revenues are growing. And growing profitably means … what? That the business is “becoming profitable”? Or is it just growing revenues positively? Was this a misstatement? What does that mean? H...
