Windows 10 comes with a host of new fearures along with a bunch of new keyboard shortcuts. Lets just say that they are very nifty and speeds up the workflow a lot. So read on to become more efficient and getting a step closer to being a pro user! One of my favorite shortcuts is Windows + Tab which opens the brand new Windows 10 Task View. Besides the list of running applications, you’ll also notice the option to add Virtual Desktops on the bottom of your screen. Virtual Desktops allow you to create multiple desktops beyond the limitations of a physical display. It’s a great way to organize and quickly access groups of windows on your PC or tablet. Here’s my list of Windows 10 shortcuts, and – in addition – some of my favorite “old but gold” shortcuts known from previous versions of Windows...
Valve’s Steam is the biggest platform in the PC gaming market, with Valve themselves being one of the most prominent companies in the gaming industry as a whole. Steam has millions of accounts all over the world, and in some cases people have invested literally thousands of dollars into their own accounts. Which is why a security breach like the one that just occurred a few days ago is something to take very seriously. Reports are still blurry and information keeps coming out – Valve themselves are yet to make an official statement on the issue – but according to a demonstration that was posted on YouTube, a hacker could abuse the “forgotten password” feature in Steam’s log-in service, completely bypassing the stage where they have to enter a security code, and being granted access to rese...
If you’ve been dying to try out the upcoming Call of Duty’s new multiplayer mode but don’t have a PlayStation 4 console, you may not breathe a sigh of relief. As long as you have an Xbox One or at least a PC, that is. Activision has just revealed the schedule of the open beta of Black Ops’ multiplayer mode across all supported platforms. While PS4 gamers will indeed get to taste it earlier, other gamers won’t be far behind, following just seven days later. This preferential treatment for the PS4 is being credited to Activision’s closer ties with Sony. And it isn’t just this multiplayer beta. Sony’s console will get the first dibs on everything, like new content. This is a rather drastic change from the special favors that Microsoft’s Xb...
This week’s major updated games are: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman Arkham Knight. Batman Arkham Knight‘s PC version is still not fixed, and after delaying the Batgirl DLC, WB has announced that the latest patch for the game is coming on July 27th. No fixes have been detailed yet, but prepare for one massive patch notes section this time. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a patch this week, the Patch 1.07, and it adds quite a bit, but it also reportedly causes performance slowdowns in consoles. CDPR is already calling it the “Largest patch for the game yet”. The patch is 7.3 GBs on consoles and around 2.2 GBs on the PC. The PC version is just a prep patch and apparently doesn’t do much, with the proper patch arriving soon. You can find a (rather too complete f...
AMD launched the A8-7670K APU in their Godavari line of APUs, featuring native Windows 10 support and unparelleled performance at the budget. For the people not in the know, an APU combines a CPU and a proper GPU in one die. This APU has 10 computational cores: 4 CPU running up to 3.9GHz + 6 GPU running at 757MHz. The integrated GPU in this case is an unspecified Radeon R7 class GPU, which, while not on par with proper dedicated mid-range GPUs, outperforms embedded solutions by a country mile. An upscaled version of these APUs are most famously present in the Xbox One and PS4. The A8-7670k comes packed with all the Radeon goodies: AMD Eyefinity for multi-monitor setups, FreeSync, AMD’s Gaming Evolved, which allows game footage capturing and automatic game optimisation, Virtual Super ...

Kitguru reported that Arkham Knight won’t come back to Steam until maybe this fall. This comes hot on the heels of the official update on the Steam page by WB, in which they apologised for the debacle again and told that they are “modifying the internal review process for all of our games” and reassured the community that they are “working on [the updated version of the game on PC] every day” and “for the players who are continuing to play Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, fixes are continually being made to the game as we await the final updated version” They also announced that “Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will not be available on July 14 for those who are currently playing the PC version of the game” to “...
