On the Mech_Con stage this year, Piranha Games announced MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. The reboot of Prey made a huge appearance at The Game Awards 2016, with a long gameplay trailer. The trailer showcases various weapons, abilities, enemies and the Talos I space station. With all the creative shenanigans going on, it certainly looks a lot different than the original Prey. One interesting ability is Mimic, which lets you morph into (supposedly) any of the in-game objects, including a cup. That’s right. All your dreams are coming true. The weird part is that the cup is capable of independent movement, but hey, it’s sci-fi! The game looks great, with a slight retro look of the old day sci-fi movies. Resident Evil VII Demo Gets Final Update, New Trailer Revealed
Resident Evil VII, Capcom’s upcoming horror fest has received the final update for its playable teaser, Beginning Hour. Called the Midnight update, it’ll open up new options and paths for the players and is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation VR. The demo in its entirety will be available on the Xbox One and Steam starting 19th December. Additionally, Capcom has also released a new trailer, showcasing the horros that await Ethan Winters, the protagonist. Dauntless, The Co-op Fantasy RPG From Ex-Bioware and Riot Devs
Phoenix Labs, a new studio who boasts of veterans from Bioware and Riot Games showcased their first game at The Game Awards 2016. The game is called Dauntless and features online co-op multiplayer for up to four players. Set in a dystopian fantasy, the players can assume the roles of warriors known as Slayers who need to craft weapons and hunt down giant monsters to survive. Inspired by titles Monster Hunter and Dark Souls, the game is a free-to-play title and will launch on the Windows PC sometime in 2017. You can watch the trailer for the game below.
