Sony Reveal PS Vita TV

Sony have revealed a lot of stuff at its pre-TGS press conference, and other than the PS Vita redesign, the most surprising aspect had to be the unveiling of the piece of Vita-related hardware. This newest addition is called PS Vita TV, and what it does is let you play Vita games on your T.V…..and some other cool stuff as well. PS Vita TV is a really small piece of hardware, not much larger than a deck of cards. The dimensions are- 6c, by 10cm, and its easily the smallest PlayStation hardware ever. The main idea of the PS Vita TV is to let gamers play Vita games on a big screen using a DualShock 3 controller, but not only that. While this device has card slots for Vita games, and accepts Vita memory cards, it will also let you use video streaming services such as Hulu. It also allows...

Battlefiel 4: Weapons Customization option

DICE are really making this one count and are really raising the bar for FPS’. The firearm options have been expanded in Battlefield 4, providing soldiers with a variety of customization options for the weapons. To get a fair idea of how much DICE has done with this aspect and worked to improve the game, the amount of accessories has tripled for each gun plus each firearm has an increased amount of accessory slots now. A single assault rifle has the potential for 240,000 different set-ups in Battlefield 4. There are also many camouflage patterns to choose from, with 16 different sub-options for each pattern. There’s even adaptive camouflage that changes depending on the map you’re playing on. Snipers too have a variety of options to go through. Stuff like expanded scopes and th...

Sony responsible for Elder Scrolls coming out on consoles

According to Sony, the upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game The Elder Scrolls Online was not originally made for consoles. VP of publisher and developer relations at SCEA, Adam Boyes told Game Informer  that the a console version of the online game was only brought into the picture after Sony and Bethesda met on various occasions to discuss the idea. “That game was never planned to come to consoles,” Boyes said. “And we just kind of kept sitting with [Bethesda] and being like, ‘Why not?'” “They’re like, ‘We’re not planning it,'” he added. “And I’m like, ‘Well, what if we built a plan that we could do that?'” Sony was the one that kindled this interest that led to Bethesda to consider brin...

4 Single Player Facts we learned about GTA V

We are less than two weeks away from arguably one of the biggest video game launches in the medium’s history with GTA V, we delve into some facts which we believe can make it awesome. Detailed Gunplay Mechanics This is something that we observed through the numerous trailers, but it’s nice finally having some confirmation. If you are unaware, it’s overt that the shooting mechanics in GTA V are a hybrid between the mechanics found in Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3, which involve weapon wheels, basic cover, and similar aiming sway. That’s a wonderful thing too, considering both of those games received rave reviews. There are also lock-on options available for those wanting a less stressful experience and would prefer looking like a badass without much effort. The power of Land, Sea, Air...

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse DLC Release Date

Activision have made an official announcement stating that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse DLC is set to be released on the 26th of September on PC and PS3. Apocalypse is the fourth and final piece of downloadable content for Black Ops II which includes four additional maps. Two of them are new (Pod, set on a Cliffside in Taiwain, and Frost, set in a snow-covered European city) and the remaining two are based on previous Treyarch Call of Duty maps (Takeoff, based on Stadium from the original Black Ops and Dig, an updated version of Courtyard from World at War).   The most fascinating thing about Apocalypse is that it features ‘Origins‘. It puts players back into a World War I era in France, where they encounter the return of the four main heroes- Tank, Nikolai, Ta...

Battlefield 4 to have vehicle testing range

Battlefield 4 will be introducing this new feature which will allow players to try out vehicles like helicopters before getting into the game proper. “We’ve definitely heard that people are afraid of getting in there [and using vehicles like helicopters] and that’s not our intent,” DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson told IGN. “So what we’ve done is, we’ve added a test range, which allows you to try out all the hardware ahead of time so that if you want to learn to fly a helicopter you can get in there and you can find the settings that work best for you.” “And then start doing some stunt flights just to feel safe before you go out and get the responsibility of a bunch of other people sitting in your helicopter,” he added. “So ...

Xbox One is designed to be on for 10 years straight

The Xbox One design doesn’t really differ much from its predecessor’s. However Microsoft have really pushed the limits on their latest console, while keeping in mind the very important factor of reliability. A reliable source says that the console has been designed to run continuously for 10 years. And not only that, Microsoft have also kept in mind that while this device is designed to run for 10 years, it also needs to run silently enough, so that it is something one could keep in a living room. Its a hard combination to get right, so Microsoft went with a fairly large design which allows better heat dissipation. Although no official specifications have been declared, the Xbox One is approximately 34x26x8cm, which a considerably larger than the 360. Even though we got a prett...
