Publisher Square Enix had an impressive lineup of games to show off at E3 this year, including Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the sequel to the well-reviewed Deus Ex: Human Revolution. We’ve seen a few trailers for the game before, but if you’re still curious about it and don’t mind seeing a spoiler scene, Square Enix released a full 25 minutes of gameplay.
EA’s lineup this year was, what’s the word I’m looking for here? Yes, Anaemic. Besides announcing Mass Effect Andromeda and giving a few new details about Battlefront 3 and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, all they had were annual sports games and a small puzzle platformer. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Trailer reveals new gameplay elements and traversal mechanics, including an improved combat system focusing on brawls and introduces the use of vehicles. Microsoft dominated the floor with their show today, announcing not only games for Xbox One, but also for the Hololens and Windows 10. A healthy mix of not only new games, but also new features for the Xbox One was announced at the show. The most surprising and welcome of these announcements was Backwards Compatibility with Xbox 360 games. It works not only with titles on the XBL Marketplace, but also with retail discs. Possibly the most awaited game this E3, Star Wars Battlefront reveal hits all the right notes. Dice and EA have excelled in demonstrating how brilliantly well they can do a Star Wars game. Anyone who had any complains about the lack of destructible environs will be eating their words, cuz this Star Wars game knocks Battlefield 4 right out the park.
