“Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be another major entry in the franchise’s history,” said Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot in an investor call last night. “The game will showcase the city of Paris with amazing next-gen graphics and will incorporate great new innovations that will be revealed at E3.
“The title will be released this fall on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We have not disclosed our plan yet for the Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs, however we have made it clear as a company that we will expect to continue supporting both consoles for the foreseeable future.”
A secret, undisclosed plan, huh? Sounds interesting. There are rumours that, alongside development of Unity, Ubi is working on a separate game, code-named Comet, for both last gen consoles. Apparently, it’s like Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and we can expect both naval combat and a couple of familiar faces to show up over the course of its campaign. Whether the rumours are true or not, I imagine all will be revealed come E3 next month.
Thanks, Eurogamer.
