An official listing for Assassin’s Creed Unity at Sony Entertainment Network shows that the title is expected to run at 720p resolution on the PlayStation 4. It quite clearly says that the game outputs 720p HD. This is so strange as the last game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ran at 1080p on the PlayStation 4.
In addition to this Ubisoft confirmed in an interview with GamingBolt that they were targeting 1080p and 60fps on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now there is a chance that this listing may just be an error and the developers are still working on the final resolution or this is just the minimum resolution that is supported by the game. In any case, we just hope that this isn’t true. Even Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition have their correct resolutions listed as 1080p.
