Grand Theft Auto has been rolling in big money for Rockstar and 2K, and it shows no signs of slowing down. However, it’s a no-brainer for them to make another one eventually. But the question is – Where will it be set in? So here are the top 5 places gamers want the next GTA game to be set in:
London
While Project London is being worked on as a mod, it would be fascinating to see Rockstar’s take on the city. London is rife is history and culture, and there’s a lot that it can offer as a GTA game.
India
Well, ok, we’re biased, but it would be so cool to see India through GTA lenses. Imagine the political, cultural, and ideological clashes, and how well it can translate into a rich story, with a diverse cast of characters. Too bad that it might probably get banned here.
Modern Day Vice City
I loved GTA Vice City back in the day, and would to go back to it with today’s visuals and see what stories Rockstar can come up for it now.
Japan
This thought came to me while playing a ton of Yakuza lately. As much fun Yakuza is, I am interested in a more open world sandbox approach to Tokyo and the surrounding regions.
Russia
With the political state of affairs as it is today, Russia would make a really interesting backdrop for a GTA game. Sure, Rockstar might have to tip-toe around a few issues, but even so I am really curious to see their approach towards a satirical vision of the Russian oligarchy.

Its not gonna be in Japan, that’s for sure. I wish its in India but it would surely face a lot of controversy in India and get banned. So Rockstar may not take that risk. So I think either it will be in Vice City or Liberty City, or maybe some other ‘American’ city, or maybe more than one city.
