In a recent investor call, Andrew Wilson the CEO of EA confirmed that a new Battlefield game will be released in 2018. It’s not sure whether the game will feature the World War 1 setting in Battlefield 1 or if a more modern setting is being considered. In the investor call he also talked about other games that the DICE team was working on including Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Since the team is currently busy with Battlefront 2, the new Battlefield title is going to be an off-shoot game.

Fans are asking for Bad Company 3 or Battlefield Vietnam, and we can only hope that EA listens to its fans.

I just hope they add another depth of customisation where I can scan my face and imprint it onto my character and I also hope they allow us to toggle between male and female gender as a guy I understand that women want to feel immersed in the game just as much as us men do. I listed out what I want to see in this game. I had to like rename the discussion I guess because Battlefield 2018 concepts had to be approved for unknown reasons.
