PlayStation 4 Update v5.0 may be the key update which could make you choose over a Xbox One, As Xbox is trying to capture audience with backwards compatibility, PlayStation isn’t far behind as features like access to PSOne Classics, the ability to hide or completely remove items from library, the ability to delete items from your library, the introduction of a store wishlist; an increase in the maximum number of people allowed in a party, and, the ability to change your PSN ID.
Access to PSOne Classics mean you can call some friends over play Crash Team Racing and all the game that we have grown up while playing. So, this will be filling up the nostalgic factor. Adding more games to the store is always a good thing and this feature might also sell some more PlayStation 4s.
The ability to make a wishlist is the feature that we all can use as we have a place where all our games can be and we won’t have to search each and everytime for the same game if we want to checkout the game, quite useful feature.
Past PS4 firmware updates such as 4.50 (codenamed Sasuke) added external hard drive support as well as unadvertised functionality such as Boost Mode.
