Well, looks like Activision has no faith in Infinite Warfare at all, as indicated by a possible key detail about how users will get to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
The official website for Modern Warfare Remastered has been updated with text that says “Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game download (game disc must be inserted to play Modern Warfare Remastered)”, suggesting that you may need the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare disc in order to play Modern Warfare Remastered. The game is supposed to be a digital-only title, which seems to be available only through the premium editions of Infinite Warfare.
Though the reasons are not yet specified, it may be to prevent people from selling their copies of Infinite Warfare and simply keep on playing MW Remastered (drats!). Details haven’t been revealed yet whether the game will be sold on its own in the future, but the possibility hasn’t been ruled out.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered are set to release on 4th November for the Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
