Yager No Longer Working on Dead Island 2: Deep Silver

Yager No Longer Working on Dead Island 2: Deep Silver

Deep Silver announced that Yager Development are no longer working on Dead Island 2, reported PC Gamer. This follows the delay in release date of the game from April of 2015 to sometime in 2016.

“With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve,” Said Deep Silver in a statement. “After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner Yager. We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage.”

Before this, Yager made headlines with the widely acclaimed Spec Ops: The Line, which was a deconstruction of the Modern Military Shooter genre. Besides Dead Island 2, they are also working on the space combat simulator Dreadnought.
