It’s the start of a new month, meaning we can look forward to a whole bunch of new games! And the month of October has some great games in store for us. Without any distractions, let’s get down to it.
1. Forza Motorsport 7
- Release Date: 3rd October
- Platforms: Xbox One and PC

2. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

Set in a huge open world, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen presents a rewarding action combat experience. Players embark on an epic adventure in a rich, living world with three AI companions, known as Pawns. These partners fight independently, demonstrating prowess and ability that they have developed based on traits learned from each player.
3. Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy
- Release Date: 6th October
- Platforms: Nintendo 3DS
The Layton Series games are comical, puzzle-laden adventure stories. Previous titles have focused on solving one large puzzle. In this new title, however, the aim is to solve many smaller mysteries woven into an intriguing overall plot. Gameplay focuses on interactions with a cast of witty characters, all taking part in a story full of dramatic developments and amusing incidents.
4. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
- Release Date: 10th October
- Platforms: Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4
Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. 5. The Evil Within 2
- Release Date: 13th October
- Platforms: Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4
From mastermind Shinji Mikami, The Evil Within 2 is the latest evolution of survival horror. Detective Sebastian Castellanos has lost it all. But when given a chance to save his daughter, he must descend once more into the nightmarish world of STEM. Horrifying threats emerge from every corner as the world twists and warps around him. Will Sebastian face adversity head on with weapons and traps, or sneak through the shadows to survive.
6. Gran Turismo Sport
- Release Date: 17th October
- Platforms: PlayStation 4
The first Gran Turismo title to be released on the PS4, this game had a beta due about a year ago, which then got cancelled. The game was originally set to release last year, but got delayed. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it, and we’ll have an amazing GT title to play.
7. South Park: The Fractured But Whole
- Release Date: 17th October
- Platforms: Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4
In South Park: The Fractured but Whole, players will delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends. This dedicated group of crime fighters was formed by Eric Cartman whose superhero alter-ego, The Coon, is half man, half raccoon. As the New Kid, players will join Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite and a host of others to battle the forces of evil while Coon strives to make his team the most beloved superheroes in history.
8. Fire Emblem Warriors
- Release Date: 20th October
- Platforms: Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch
Clash with legions of enemies as Marth, Xander, Corrin, Chrom, and other Fire Emblem warriors by unleashing over-the-top-powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves. Take control of characters with distinct attacks, issue strategic commands, pair up warriors for stunning moves, and more in an epic tactical action game from the Hyrule Warriors team.
9. Destiny 2
- Release Date: 24th October
- Platforms: PC
You are one of humanity’s last remaining Guardians. Your home and your power has been taken from you by a brutal invader – Ghaul. With humanity on the brink, it’s up to you to fight back and reclaim our world. The game will be available through Blizzard’s Battle.net client, and will be the first non-Blizzard game to be featured.
10. Assassin’s Creed Origins
- Release Date: 27th October
- Platforms: Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4

14. A Hat In Time

In A Hat in Time you play as a tiny space-travelling girl with a big tophat. Her adventure is halted when all her fuel, the Time Pieces, is lost and scattered across a nearby planet. Hat Kid must now jump, fight and stitch new hats to make her way into every nook and cranny of this new world in order to restore her fuel and resume her journey. On her way, she’ll bump into the menacing Mafia of Cooks, the goofy birds of Dead Bird Studio, the spooky shadows of Subcon Forest, and more!
