When news about Amy Hennig (the creator and writer of the Uncharted series) leaving Sony-owned developer Naughty Dog got around, many wondered about the future of the franchise, and who would assume the role of taking charge of the newly-announced Uncharted game for PlayStation 4?
Those questions are being answered now
Game Informer asked Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells whether Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley – the game industry veterans who rose to prominence with The Last of Us – would help the project in transition, he stated that, “It’s not so much of a transition period, actually. We’ve asked them to lead the project.”
These men have a lot of experience when it comes to games and especially the Uncharted series as both Druckmann and Straley worked on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves before moving on to The Last of Us, and will be fairly well prepared for what obstacles get thrown their way as far as the game is concerned.
PlayStation 4’s Uncharted game hasn’t officially been christened Uncharted 4 as of yet and will likely be shown at Sony’s E3 press conference.
