The Room 2 is going to be available for download on iPhone from today, i.e the 30th of January.
The first version of the game had come out on the iPad which was launched sometime in December and was priced at £2.99. And Android users will have to wait as a launch is scheduled “on or before 14th February”, said developer Fireproof Studios.
The Room 2 is a sequel to the studio’s original The Room, which had won the Best British Game BAFTA at last year’s awards.
“Crafting a sequel to a bite-sized surprise hit is never easy,” Dan Whitehead said. “Fireproof has taken a conservative approach that avoids those pitfalls, but it hasn’t abandoned ambition in the process. I doubt the structural integrity of The Room would survive another extension, but this is still a perfect game for a cold winter’s night.”
