Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the best shooter when it released back in 2007, with a great singleplayer campaign and an even greater multiplayer mode, and it’s seems like it is ready to make a comeback. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t more excited for COD Modern Warfare Remastered than COD Infinite Warfare, which is proved by the new multiplayer reveal trailer for the Remaster. Returning to its roots, the trailer takes you back to the good old days when shooting other people was more about shooting other people in the face and less about wall-running, Specialists and “Pick 10”. It’s all about how fast your trigger finger is, and man does it look better than ever. The textures are much sharper, with more realistic character models and well detailed env...

Microsoft boldly announced the Project Scorpio during its E3 conference this year and has the gaming community on their feet to see how this beast of a console will turn out. Confirmed for release in the fall, it will operate at about six teraflops with 8 cores, memory bandwidth of over 320 Gbps and a speculated 12GB of GDDR5 memory. As a result, it is expected to be capable enough to play both 4K-native games and VR titles. Moreover, it will be backwards compatible, meaning you don’t have worry about your old library once you make the switch. But there seems to be a bigger, more ambitious approach at work. In an interview with The Verge, Phil Spencer, the Head of the Xbox division at Microsoft said, “One of the most significant initiatives doesn’t revolve around a single conso...
We may have been a little late in jumping on the E3 bandwagon, but here we are with a list of our favourite titles from this year’s conference. Here are the titles: FIFA ’17 As beautiful as ever, this installment of FIFA has been developed on the Frostbite Engine, the same engine used to develop Battlefield 1. Moreover, it now adds a story mode, where you follow the life of Alex Hunter, both on and off-field. We can’t wait to check out this whole new dimension brought to our favourite football title. Horizon: Zero Dawn Not Horizon: Breaking Dawn, as our dear Joash put it. Turns out he’s a huge Twilight fan. Who knew? Anyway, Zero Dawn takes you to a 1000 years into the future where nature has claimed back the Earth, with remnants of the now past modern...
The PS Neo is surrounded by rumors, the latest ones indicating that it may launch this year itself, despite having no mention at E3 2016. Is it possible that Sony might have sped up the treadmill after the Project Scorpio announcement? Or maybe Sony’s attempt to prevent its fan base from jumping on to the PC wagon? All this is mere speculation, but it certainly bring out the best of titles for the gamers, seeing these two giants go head-to-head. The most interesting thing now, perhaps, will be how developers plan to utilize their resources if and when the Neo is released this year. Another thing that may become clear is that whether 4K is really the focus for these companies. While it may be a good decision for Sony to wait for more content to be available for the PS Neo before they...
The age old rivalry finally comes to a head. PC players now have scientific proof that they are better at the one thing that matters more than gaming. Sex. There, I said it and science has my back! While console players were busy stroking the controller, the pussy has gone for guys with the mouse. The study, by MyVoucherCodes, polled 2,747 partners of gamers in the UK, as part of research into the effect playing games has on relationships. After establishing which console was used by the respondents’ partners to play Video Games, the study asked, ‘How would you rate your partner in the bedroom?’ The results saw just 11 per cent respond ‘excellent’, while most – 27 per cent said their partner was ‘good’, 26 per cent said their partner was ‘average’ and a disappointing 20 per cent branded t...
Sony and Microsoft look set to be gearing up for a new console war with their latest versions of the PS4 and Xbox One. A new listing suggests the tech giant is working on releasing an Xbox One console with a 1TB internal hard drive, which could mean two new models announced at E3 in June. The release of new PS4 and Xbox One models was predicted by Netflix chief product officer Neil Hunt earlier this year, who went as far as to say that 4K support could soon be added by Sony. The price of the new model is set at $400 and has a release date listed for June 15. It could mean the new model will be launched straight after its announcement at E3, something Microsoft have done with revamped Xbox’s in the past. The new console will also come with the revamped Xbox One controller that was lea...

On Tuesday Microsoft published the final cover art for this October’s Xbox One shooter Halo 5: Guardians. Initially the company had released only pieces of the art that you see below, but finally revealed the full image today. These images together really put things into a different perspective. Up until now, Master Chief kinda hogged the limelight as the stood alone for Halo 4 and 4 cover art, but things are a bit different now for his latest outing. As you can see in the post below, Chief is joined by a newcomer Spartan Locke, who will play a major role in the game; he’s even a playable character for some portions. And what’s more is that we can also see mysterious Spartan fireteams supporting both Chief and Locke. Microsoft says in a post on the Xbox Wire that these Spartan soldi...
