The year 2017 has had some amazing releases like Yakuza Zero, Resident Evil 7, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier: Automata and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, like every year there are games that we were looking forward to that failed to live up to our expectations and some outright horrible games. Konami recently released the cinematic intro for Super Bomberman R and well…..it’s something. The intro looks like a dubbed weekend morning anime from the 90s, at least the English verison. Though the styling is accurate and does justice to the game, the dubbing and overall feel of it seems a little rushed. Considering the three-decade long legacy of the Bomberman Series, it is only fair to expect that Konami puts a little more effort into the cinematic reveal. Anyway, the story revolves around eight Bomberman brothers who live on the planet Bomber (imagine that), and have to save the universe from The Emperor.
