We’ve been blown away by the community’s response to the game, with more than 4M people having played since launch. Seeing Sea of Thieves establish itself as the best-selling new IP for Xbox this generation has been humbling, and watching players create and share their stories on Mixer, Twitch and YouTube has been inspiring. Sea Of Thieves Closed Beta Dates Announced

Happy New Year, everyone! We’re back working hard on Sea of Thieves after the holidays and a December chock-full of announcements. We revealed March 20 as our launch date and made a star of an unsuspecting chicken with a swashbuckling trailer, kicked off pre-orders, revealed how you progress through the world of Sea of Thieves, and showed off our haunting Limited Edition controller. All that and we hosted our biggest ever Technical Alpha play session last month. All hands are now back on deck here at Rare as we sail toward launch. At The Game Awards last night, we were thrilled to announce that Sea of Thieves’ shared-world adventure will be setting sail globally on the Xbox One family of devices and Windows 10 PCs on March 20, 2018 for $59.99/£49.99/€69.99. On the show floor, you can play together on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One S, so if you’re at the show, be sure to swing by and experience it at the Xbox booth!
