RPCS3, the PS3 emulator got an update recently, which shows how good the PS3 titles were originally meant to look. But due to the lack of processing power, it wasn’t possible at that time. The new update adds some handy new features, including resolution scaling to improve the look of the games. It technically supports upto 10K resolution, but considering that the games made for the console were originally supposed to run at 720p, that’s a bit of overkill. You can check out the video below and see the enormous improvement after upscaling to 4K and adding 16x anisotropic filtering.
