Open World Games are now the most sought after genre in video games. The Elder Scroll series is one of the pioneers in the genre, followed closely by Grand Theft Auto. However, in terms of absolute fun gameplay, Far Cry 4 has got the formula down perfectly. Open World Games today have taken the idea of freedom, exploration, and a world rich with content to a whole new level. With caves and caverns, mountains and forest, bandit camps and dungeons, concrete jungles and industrial wastelands, and even outer space, all for the players to explore. Path of Exile Gets New Expansion
A new expansion has been announced for Path of Exile’s, called The Awakening. It will launch on July 10. Today the trailer has been released, along with a challenge league developer video and massive updates to The Awakening’s site. Updates to The Awakening’s page include: New skills including Magma Orb, Wild Strike, Frost Blades, Flame Dash and Phase Run! New Challenge Leagues: Warbands and Tempest (with developer video!) Mass Effect Trilogy to come to PS4, Xbox One?
Mass effect has been one of the best games of the current generations, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn has recently responded to a fan query from December about the studio redoing the Mass Effect Trilogy for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 featuring “1080p/high-res textures/60fps, etc.” Now, Flynn obviously didn’t make an announcement right then and there — but he did say the studio has given thought to such a re-release. “We have discussed that internally,” he replied. “If we can put solid plans together we’ll share.
