E3 2017 Highlights: EA Press Conference

E3 kicked off this year with the EA Press Conference and boy did they like to tell and not show. They spent so long talking that people were genuinely upset and just wanted to see the games, so lo and behold, a highlight of the EA Press Conference. Need For Speed: Payback This game was previously announced but we were only shown a short trailer. At their press conference, we got to have a better look at the game and its mechanics.  From what we’ve learned, the game will feature 3 playable characters with different skills and the game will also feature a day and night cycle. No more perpetual racing in the darkness. The game also has an offline story mode unlike the “Need for Speed” 2015 reboot. The gameplay they showcased was action packed and had a very “Fast and F...

New NFS Game In The Making, Called Need For Speed Arena?

A trademark application listing has gotten the rumor mill spinning again, and this time it’s for a new Need For Speed game. The listing appeared in Europe, and is for a game that goes by the name of Need For Speed Arena. The last Need For Speed game released earlier this year was not exactly received as well as the publishers and developers might have wanted, even though they did deliver a game that played well, specially with the PC port being at par with some of the best ports out in recent years. I personally have gotten off the franchise when it was still at top speed with NFS Carbon, before finally crashing and burning with NFS Rivals. One can only hope that the new Need For Speed gets fans stoked for the game, and delivers on whatever it is that racing fans want from the franch...

Need For Speed: Faster and Slicker

Need For Speed: Slick and Stylish, the new Need for Speed is reminiscent of NFS Underground with some major visual overhaul. The street racing game looks highly cinematic and we can’t wait for more. Prepare to leave your mark on the roads!! For more E3 updates stay tuned at Gaming Central. Be sure to check out all the E3 round-ups right here.

Need for Speed will Require an Internet Connection

Need for Speed, the new Ghost Games developed title, will have integral components that rely on an internet connection. Answering a fan inquiry on Twitter, the game’s official account said that the benefits of having an internet connection is “more variety and a more rewarding experience with friends.” Before later elaborating that being connected will “allow your friends to be part of your narrative experience, something only possible through connected play.” That comment is interesting when you look at the way Rivals handled it. That game too required an internet connection, but populated the world with AI players whenever the connection would drop. Need for Speed Rivals’ AllDrive system will return. It will be an improved version and will feature dedicated servers. Despite the online co...

Need For Speed Official Trailer

This trailer has been out for a while, but we hadn’t really heard about it until recently. Either way, The NFS trailer is here and we wanted you to check it out. Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins.   Don’t know whether this movie has what it takes to be among the ranks of other car-racing movies, especially the most recent “Rush” by Ron Howard, but definitely looks like a good movie to watch with its heart-pounding action, and some fantastic driving scenes make for an enticing combination. Tell us what you think, whether it will be a hit or a flop?

Need for Speed Rivals – Xbox One Gameplay

Maybe its just us, but we really seem to have forgotten how pretty damn good the NFS series is. Watching this trailer especially with the ‘Ford GT’ reminds us the time when we used to play ‘Most Wanted’ all day…honestly we never got enough of that game. But here we have this pretty awesome, fast paced, highly detailed version of the game, which is really making us even more eager to see what the game is all about. So why don’t you take a first look at Need for Speed Rivals played on a Xbox One and tell us whether you think this is a game worth waiting for? Comes out on the Xbox One on the 22nd of this month!
