Justice Is Served: Injustice 2 Review

A story of dread, deceit and destruction with plenty of twists and lots of bone shattering spectacles, Injustice 2 is a fantastic sequel that improves on its predecessor in every way possible. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, famed for their Mortal Kombat series and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Injustice 2 was released in May 2017 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One along with ports for Android and iOS mobiles. To start off, I went on into this game completely blind, having not watched any trailers or character reveals. I was not expecting much from the game, thinking that it would be just another re-skinned Mortal Kombat game with a somewhat boring rehashed Batman v/s Superman story but I was more than just pleasantly surprised. Almost every aspect of the game felt...

Mortal Kombat X Sound Effects Are Made With Green Goo and a Toilet Plunger

Mortal Kombat X has some pretty gory fatalities and truly are a gruesome sight. But did you ever think of how the team goes about making those sound effects? Its pretty funny cause the process is probably as gross as the fatalities themselves. Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm held a live broadcast, “Kombatcast,” where they shared new information about the fighting game and took a trip behind the scenes.   The broadcast showcased some of the foley work, which is the process of recording sound effects, that went into the game. The video (its pretty long so start watching from the 19th minute) shows NetherRealm developers using green goo, a plunger, and some other tools to create the gross, goopy sounds you’ll hear during Fatalities. The developer also added that t...

Mortal Kombat X Review

The game is in many ways an evolution of 2011’s Mortal Kombat. The gruesome fatalities and x-ray attacks that Mortal Kombat is famous for are more disgusting/gut wrenching than ever. These fatalities are made much more convincing due to improved special effects. It is very easy to get caught up with the visuals and forget there is a deep and meaningful game underneath. And we don’t blame you; cause almost each and every move in the game shows you yet another way to torture someone. But that doesn’t divert the focus away from its original motive, “K”ombat. The last Mortal Kombat delivers a robust story mode. The fight for the out world realm has stirred up great turmoil causing fallen elder gods and demons alike to contend for the seat by any means necessary. It remains a similar tale but a...
