Capcom Heroes Brings Classic Capcom Characters to Dead Rising 4 Since Frank West first donned a Mega Man costume and jammed a Servbot head onto a zombie in the original Dead Rising game, one of the hallmarks of the series has always been the subtle (and not-so-subtle) references to other classic Capcom franchises. From the Resident Evil nod in the mall’s restaurant named Jill’s Sandwiches, to the free Street Fighter costume pack released for Dead Rising 4, it’s clear that a love for Capcom runs deep in the series. It’s something close to the heart for the Dead Rising design team and when they had the chance to dream up a new game mode for Dead Rising 4, they drew upon the series’ deep ties to classic games and came up with Capcom Heroes; the ultimate love letter to many classic Capcom gam...

Assassin’s Creed Origins – Stealth, Freedom of Choice, and a Lost City in the Desert In what might be a series first, Assassin’s Creed Origins pushed me to use all of the tactics at my disposal, without any prodding from the story or mission guidelines. This happened during my latest hands-on session with the game (set in the Nile Delta and Giza Plateau), somewhere around my fourth attempt to free Ghupa, an old man caged at the center of a hilltop camp. Ghupa had been kidnapped after asking too many questions about a shadowy villain known as the Scarab, a member of the mysterious Order of the Ancients whose preferred method of killing involved burying people up to their necks in the desert and leaving them to die. This fate hadn’t yet befallen Ghupa, but for now he was surrounded by a gene...
Massive Armoured Ogres Invade in New Extinction Gameplay Trailer Avil is the last-remaining Sentinel and only he has the power to save humankind. Iron Galaxy presents a brand-new gameplay trailer for their upcoming action-adventure game – Extinction. Extinction places emphasis on high-speed traversal around an interactive environment. Avil must move quickly – traversing across rooftops, alongside buildings, atop man-made structures and more – to save humanity from the encroaching horde, and take down the seemingly endless waves of Ravenii using his powers as a trained Sentinel. And while the swarm of smaller minions may seem like the crisis at hand, there’s always a larger problem on the horizon. Armies of ogres are equipped with their own weapons and armour, requiring Avil to use tactical...
We’ve had a lot of fantastic indie games that have released this year. Cuphead, Tacoma, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice are just a few of those games that were really impressive. But there’s more gems coming soon from the indie gaming scene, so here’s a top 10 list of those games. Below Below is an adventure game viewed from a top down perspective. You are a tiny warrior exploring the depths of a remote island. The game is about exploration, though that goal is contingent upon the character’s survival in a world where there is brutal combat and permanent death. Praey for the Gods In Praey for the Gods, you play a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must ...
The creator of the hit video game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is in talks with Microsoft about extending their agreement to publish the game exclusively on Xbox, according to people familiar with the matter. South Korea’s Bluehole has agreed to produce the game for Microsoft first by the end of the year and is likely to give the company a longer period as the solo console, said the people, asking not to be identified because the matter is private. Games are typically offered exclusively for about three months to encourage people to buy a particular console, so Xbox may have the game to itself until the middle of next year or longer. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become this year’s surprise hit of the game industry, selling 13 million copies and shattering records for personal-compute...
Stardew Valley will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 5th, 2017 I’m very happy to see Stardew come to a Nintendo console… I grew up on Nintendo, after all! This will not only be the first time Stardew Valley appears on a Nintendo platform but also the first time Stardew will be on a portable system. The Switch version will be priced at $14.99 USD. I would like to give a big shout out to Sickhead Games, who worked very hard to develop this port. They did a great job, as always, and deserve all the credit! I’d also like to thank my publisher Chucklefish for coordinating everything. I look forward to hearing about your experience with Stardew Valley “on the go” this Thursday! Thanks for playing, ConcernedApe stardewvalley.net Register with us for the best in gaming, and join us for video...
