Gamescom 2015 Bigger Than E3?

In theory, given its proximity to the winter release rush, Gamescom should be bigger than E3. In many ways, it is — it attracted 335,000 people in 2014, compared to E3’s 48,900. Yes, while E3 is (supposed to be) industry-only, Gamescom opens its doors to the general public and so the numbers are inflated. But it could also be assumed that would be incentive to the world’s games developers, allowing them to present their wares to both press and public. Gamescom 2015 Digest: All You Need to Know

Gamescom rolled around like a mini-E3, with conferences, game reveals and gameplay trailers a-plenty. Here’s a quick primer on all the gaming news and announcements from there:   Halo 5: Guardians’ multiplayer was shown off. For those not keeping up, Halo 5 will have two distinct multiplayer modes: Arena and Warzone. Warzone is the traditional Halo multiplayer experience while Arena is an all new e-sports mode. And Microsoft is betting big on e-sports: they announced a prizepool of One Million Dollars. And they streamed a match to the showfloor between the top teams of Europe and US. Screens Revealed For Tom Clancys The Division at Gamescom 2015

New screenshots have been revealed for the upcoming Tom Clancy’s The Division at Gamescom 2015. More gameplay sequences were shown for the open-world, multiplayer-focused third-person shooter. Check out the screens from the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC game with the media gallery below this paragraph. Tom Clancy’s The Division is coming out on March 8th.    

Mafia III Offically Confirmed, First Gameplay Video Revealed

Mafia III was officially revealed today after a teaser was released last week. It was confirmed that the game will be coming out in 2016, and will be set in New Orleans. The first reveal trailer was a CGI trailer which gave the viewer an idea of the story and characters involved in Mafia III. There was no gameplay in the trailer, but a video has been uploaded today which features over 3 minutes of gameplay. Check it out.
