Battlefield 4 Free On PC for Game Time

Battlefield 4 has come back to EA’s “Game Time” promotion on Origin, which means that PC users can now play the game for free. EA is giving you seven days of free play, though the clock runs through your eating and sleeping time. But the good thing is that the time needed to install the game doesn’t get counted in the hours allotted for you to play. Once you get the game running, the clock will begin, and you’ll be notified in-game with how much time you have left.   Those who want to buy Battlefield 4 when the game time ends do not have to worry about starting over, as the progress gets carried over. Battlefield 4 is not the only game available now through Game Time, though its duration of 168 hours is by far the longest. Others include Respawn Entertainment&#...

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea episode to release tomorrow

For all of you who’ve played & enjoyed Bioshock Infinite here is some awesome news 🙂 the  first chunk of story DLC, set in that fragile underwater utopia/horrorshow, Rapture will be out tomorrow.  Episode One throws Booker and Elizibeth back to a time to a point before Rapture transitioned from endless parties to mutant massacre. Ken Levine mentioned on Twitter that there will be new weapons, plasmids and gear, including an “old man winter” plasmid. I’m more excited about wandering around a still-living Rapture, as captured in this splendid piece of concept art for Bioshock 1. Part one of the DLC will be Booker-centric, while you might get to  as Elizabeth in part two. Till then you can check out the awesome trailer.

Call of Duty: Ghosts system requirements released officially

Nvidia put out some unofficial Call of Duty: Ghosts system specs a couple of weeks back suggesting that Infinity Ward’s peppy manshooter would require a 64 bit OS, and they were right. The Call Of Duty sitenow has the official specs, which adjusts the 50GB install to a 40GB one (lets face it, 30GB of that is hi-res dog), but retains the 6GB RAM requirement. Watch Dogs, another game designed to span the gap between current and ‘next-gen’ console hardware, needs similar tech. We can expect system requirements to quickly jump up when we start seeing ports of games that target the PS4 and Xbone exclusively next year. Will the similarity of the new console hardware to PC architecture make for smoother ports? I can only hope. Meanwhile, get yer Call of Duty: Ghosts system requi...

Wolfenstein : New World Order Preview

Machine games have provided a small preview of Wolfenstein : New World Order from the Wolfenstein series . Wolfenstein was one of the first FPS games dating  back from 1980, although most of you will be more familiar with the better known sequels, Wolfenstein 3D or Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Machine Games has a great opportunity in hand for reviving interest in this classic title especially after the lukewarm response to Activision’s 2009 release. Wolfenstein: New World Order  takes place in the year 1960 in an alternate timeline where Hitler’s Nazi Germany has won World War 2 and now rules the world. This victory though was not the result of straight forward military tactics but due to the accumulation of various technologically advanced weaponry by the Nazis. The question of how did t...
