Square Enix Launches Black Friday Sale, Titles up to 83% off

The online store on Square Enix has launched its Black Friday sale, offerings colossal discounts on a horde of titles, both physical and digital. Headline deals include World of Final Fantasy and Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20th Year Celebration on the PS 4, both on a 33% discount, now costing USD 39.99 each. Other major deals feature Homefront: The Revolution for USD 14.99 on the PS 4 and Xbox One, Hitman on the PC for USD 30, and Hitman Collector’s Edition for USD 70. Life is Strange is also available on sale for USD 9.99 on both PS 4 and Xbox One. Just Cause 3 is for USD 19.99 and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is for USD 4.99. Square Enix Announces Huge Line-Up Of Games Ahead Of Gamescom

Final Fantasy At E3

The FINAL FANTASY® XV universe put up a show at this week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), with stunning new reveals and massive updates throughout the week. During a special stage presentation, game director Hajime Tabata revealed the “wait mode,” an option that allows players to gain a strategic advantage by momentarily pausing the action and making the game easier to play for those who are not versed in action games. While in “wait mode,” the player can freely target enemies, aim magic spells, select teammate abilities, and much more. This mode can be switched on and off at any time during the game. E3 Diary: Clash of the Titans Pt. 1 (Sony)

The big guns came out today at E3, with conferences from both Sony and Microsoft laying down their cards for the future of this generation of consoles. The shows today were jam packed to the gills with announcements of exclusives old and new. Without much further ado, here’s the main announcements from Sony: The Last Guardian was resurrected on the PS4, with the Sony conference opening with seven straight minutes of footage of the game running off of a PS4. Final Fantasy 15 Footage in 1080p

Square Enix has revealed 1080p resolution footage of Final Fantasy 15. The clip below showcases footage first shown at the Paris Game Week in October and is now finally out in the best resolution possible.   The second video shows the tech behind the demo. There isn’t a lot here that might interest you, but it is still worth a watch.     At Tokyo Game Show in September, Square Enix said a Final Fantasy 15 demo would release along side Final Fantasy Type 0 HD in Europe on the 25th of March 2015 and that Hajime Tabata had replaced Tetsuya Nomura as director.   And if you’re still in the mood for more action, then check out this TGS 2014 video  

Square Enix goes Big at Gamescon 2014

Square Enix has revealed an exciting line-up of gaming highlights for gamescom 2014, Europe’s biggest interactive entertainment expo. From August 13 to 17, visitors to gamescom 2014 will be able check out a wide variety of titles, including the first European consumer hands-on of Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris, as well as the acclaimed MMO Final Fantasy XIV: Realm Reborn, HD-remastered compilation Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix  and more.   For the first time ever, the Square Enix line-up stretches over multiple booths in hall 9. Final Fantasy to feature Lara Croft outfit in new DLC

Square Enix announced that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XII will be getting a Lara Croft DLC pack. Available when the game launches on the 13th of February, the DLC will include a Lara Croft outfit for protagonist Lightning based off the clothing in Tomb Raider. Not only will this, but those who download this DLC also get the exclusive Survivor’s Axe and Riot Shield items. The Lara Croft outfit isn’t the only thing your character can dress up as; other costumes from Final Fantasy X/X-2 and Final Fantasy VII are available too. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will launch for 360 and PS3 on February 11 for North America, with Australian and European releases to follow on February 13 and 14, respectively.   Source: Zorine Te
