Metal AF – DOOM Review

Demons, Hell and Big F***ing Guns. That was what DOOM was about back in 1993, and that is precisely what DOOM is about in 2016. At its best, it’s everything that you can want it to be: you, a lone soldier on a mission to eradicate demons, making his way from Mars to hell and back, and kicking ass all along. It delivers the same cathartic experience you had when you played it for the first time in pixelated graphics, using your imagination to see a floating monster head blow up with blood on your face in those tiny squares. DOOM Updates: New Modes, Guns, Armour and PartyPlay

After the classic center gun mode and the Vulkan API, id Software’s DOOM is getting another update this week. Free Update 2 includes two new multiplayer modes: Exodus and Sector. Exodus is a single flag “capture the flag” mode with a twist; the bases and flags keep moving constantly. Sector is more like a “capture and hold” game mode where one team captures an objective and defends it against the opponents in order to score points. Both the modes will be available to play on existing as well as new maps. DOOM Goes Old School With New Update

DOOM has been exhilarating for both old and new fans alike, and the first post launch update ensures that the hype train doesn’t slow down. In addition to introducing a Photo Mode for taking in-game screenshots, it brings back the original DOOM aiming style, with you gun placed  right in the center of the screen.
