After spearheading writers rooms on Transformers and Hasbro properties at Paramount Pictures, Akiva Goldsman has relocated and now would be working on new projects which will include Rainbow Six, an adaptation of the Tom Clancy bestseller that focuses on the mercenary John Clark character originated in Clancy’s Jack Ryan novel series. Assassin’s Creed fans aren’t going to like this article at all, which annoyingly enough includes me. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie which stars Michael Fassbender will not come to theaters in August 2015 as expected. The movie has been rescheduled for a 2016 release according to The Hollywood Reporter. The source says that the movie’s scripts have gone through several rewrites and production wise have faces various scheduling issues. As we all know Fassbender is set to play the lead role in the film, which will be directed by Justin Kurzel. No other cast members have been announced, although there are rumors that Robert Downey Jr might be considered to feature in the movie too. Deadpool, Spider-Man and X-Men games are no longer available to download digitally. Developed by Activision, titles such as X-Men: Origins, X-Men: Destiny, X-Men: The Official Game, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Deadpool have been removed from Xbox Live, PSN and Steam. Activision community manager Dan Amrich confirmed the news on Twitter, speculating that Marvel is planning to consolidate its library as licensing agreements come to an end. A number of the games were recently discounted as part of festive sales and can still be purchased at retail. It follows the recent removal of the Marvel vs Capcom games from PSN and Xbox Live.
