Dead Rising 4 Gets Rid Of Time Limits

The Dead Rising franchise has always been known for one thing – putting a time limit to tasks, thus introducing an urgency with sometimes quite harsh punishments, including a game restart. In spite of having all the freedom to explore, the time limit bound you to completing the tasks in the give boundation, or face the consequences. The upcoming title will abandon the system completely. Unlike Dead Rising 3, in which adhering to the time limit was optional, this time Frank West is going to have all the time in the world to explore the world and kill zombies. Though we don’t know how to feel about ripping a game of its most iconic element, even Dead Rising 3 wasn’t exactly a bad game (and the time limit in that was completely useless, mind you). But we can probably expect ...

Dead Rising 3 story shows different characters

Dead Rising 3 hosting city Los Perdidos has a lot of inhabitants, but they aren’t all the same. Some just want to live, others just want to kill things, and some of them just want to eat everything in sight while wearing a cold, dead stare. Here’s a trailer to sort it all out! Dead Rising 3 takes place ten years after the events of Fortune City in Dead Rising 2. The story follows a young mechanic named Nick Ramos and his attempt to survive a massive zombie outbreak in the fictional city of Los Perdidos, California. Ramos must team up with other survivors and find a way to escape Los Perdidos before an impending military strike wipes out the city and its inhabitants.  Dead Rising is slated for release on November 22, 2013 as a launch title for the Xbox One Source: Capcom Vancouv...

Capcom hoping to sell 1.2 Million copies of Dead Rising 3

Capcom has just come out with their sales figures and projections for some of its biggest franchises. Other than yesterday’s news that Resident Evil 5 is now the company’s best-selling game, additional information has been released about more recently launched titles. “In the six months beginning April 2013, it appears that Lost Planet 3 was outsold globally by Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. While the latter managed to sell 650,000 units worldwide, it transpires that the latest entry in the Lost Planet franchise sold just 300,000.” Looking to the future, Capcom is projecting sales of 1.2 million for its Xbox One exclusive, due out worldwide when the console launches on November 22. It’s a fairly optimistic figure seeing as it comes at the start of the cons...

Dead Rising 3 Not to come out in Germany

Dead Rising 3 has been banned from being released in Germany by the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle. Capcom Vancouver’s Xbox One launch game  apparently did not receive an age rating during its software regulation review, according to Games Welt and confirmed to Destructoid by Microsoft. Traditionally speaking, video game violence is constantly under the scanner and is always kept on a close watch. Dead Rising’s absurd, over-the-top gore has prevented Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 from publishing in Germany previously. Source: IGN

Dead Rising 3 to be bigger than 1 & 2 combined

Dead Rising 3’s world is said to be larger than the first two games combined, according to a report from the Financial Post  Capcom Vancouver representatives also mentioned that players are more likely to use vehicles to move around the massive gaming environment for about 50% of the time. Executive Producer, Josh Bridge, said that next generation hardware is making a bigger, more seamless world possible. And this also means that Dead Rising 3 will not have any loading screens between areas. “We wanted to go truly open-world this time around. No more load screens,” said Bridges. “With the biggest world that we’ve been able to make, with loads of zombies.” Release Date for Dead Rising 3 is set for November 22 on Xbox One. Source: gamespot

Gamescom 2013 : The three most popular games

How we miss being at Gamescom 2013 at Cologne 🙁  Here we are with the three most popular games among the game journalists are discussing amid the chaos of the world’s biggest gaming event. So here’s the list: 1) TitanFall I am a big fan of Pacific rim and Transformers so it did not come as a surprise that I am eagerly waiting for this action packed game.  The addition of a rocket powered double jump, the ability to run along walls, and of course, the inclusion of personal Titan mechs, all add up to a thrilling and frenetic FPS experience. Oh, and the application of story mechanics to the multiplayer experience is really cleverly handled. 2) Dead Rising 3 Well all of you did love the trailer so did I 🙂 This one looks to be one entertaining game. The Smart Glass integration which...

Dead Rising 3 Trailer

‘It’s more or less over now, this whole zombie phase.’ I know it’s a bit old now, like seriously, how many zombie games can you go on making. There are already some really good games out there pertaining to that theme, and not to mention, pretty damn good ones too. Right off the top of my head, the ‘Left for Dead’ Franchise comes to mind. A team of four people making their way through sub-urban and rural landscape, fighting off some really freaky looking zombies. And now the most recent, fan favorite ‘The Last of Us’ is stealing everyone’s attention. With crazy story-lines and some really sick looking zombies, Naughty Dog have done their job. So now you’d probably be thinking, ‘it’s more or less over now, this whole zo...

Dead rising 3 to have Exclusive Smartglass Missions

With second screens coming to life, Xbox One exclusive Dead Rising 3 will feature missions exclusive to players making use of Microsoft’s mobile and tablet companion tool SmartGlass, Capcom has said. In an interview with Siliconera, Capcom executive producer Josh Bridge sad that when playing the game, the SmartGlass app “actually skins your phone to be like the phone from the game’s universe.” Bridge explained how the SmartGlass exclusive content would work in Dead Rising 3. Using an accompanying SmartGlass-compatible mobile or tablet, the player will “get calls from a character that are only on the SmartGlass device. So if you don’t have SmartGlass, you won’t get those calls from that guy. Which also means you won’t get those missions.”...
