Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Winners Of The Game Awards 2015

Appearing first at the Spike Video Game Awards, the Geof Keighley produced video game accolades show has taken on many different iterations. Now it exists as an online streaming only live event dubbed simply The Game Awards, and without any of the “riff raff,” the hope is that the winners will all be fitting releases. This year, competition was plenty heated between a handful of games, many of which were years in the making. Fallout 4 was the clear favorite to win any and every award heading into the end of 2015, but games like The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid 5 were not going to go out quietly. And in the end, it wasn’t Bethesda and Fallout 4, but rather CD Projekt Red and The Witcher 3 that came away the big winners. The ambitious RPG experience clearly took the judges by storm and was...

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Announced

Zombies return to Call of Duty, as we announced earlier, but this time are packing a bit of a unique flair: It’s set in the 1940’s and stars Hollywood A-Listers Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo. And it’s Film Noire. What! The mode is called Shadows of Evil and is set in the jazz drenched Morg City, a wretched hive of scum and villainy. with typical noire-ish (playable) characters of the Femme Fatale, the Boxer, The Cop and The Magician. And it looks amazing. Here, see for yourself:   It also has a rocket powered shield, one-liners, power-ups delivered by candy and one The Darkness rip-off power-up. So that makes it the best Call of Duty Zombies DLC yet. (Sorry Kennedy and Co. from Blops 1)

Black Ops 3 Might Be Best CoD Game Till Now

The Call of Duty franchise has always had either ardent followers or full on haters. You hardly find someone who would say that he/she is neither nor there when it comes to COD, its either you like it or you don’t. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 really tries hard to bridge that gap. Black Ops 3 will see the most number of changes since the franchise ditched the World War II type setting and moved on to modern type warfare years ago. Treyarch didn’t start everything from scratch but they did strip down Call of Duty to its bare essentials before setting thei...

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 teaser trailer is here

The modern media strategy of teasing teasers for trailers is becoming tedious. So here we are gazing at the first teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, trying to make any sense of this thing beyond a reminder that yes, new Call of Duty games are made available each fall, and yes, the Black Ops franchise is the next in line for said release window. Over footage plucked from the trash bin of the The Matrix Trilogy‘s editing bay, characters from the Black Ops series wax poetic on fear and doubt and masculinity, and at some point a Snapchat QR code floats on screen just long enough that nobody could possibly miss it. Maybe there’s some secret message hidden in all of this code. Or maybe it’s in this image, which I kid you not is the single image Activision included with the t...
