PS Plus: Free Games For October 2016

The month of October is almost upon us, and with it, new free games for the members of PlayStation Plus. Who doesn’t like free stuff, amirite? Without much ado, here’s the list of what’s up for grabs:

  • Resident Evil – PS 4

This year Capcom is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the franchise, and this remastered HD version is the perfect way to enjoy the game. So whether you’re reacquainting with old friends Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, or meeting them for the first time, get ready to learn the secrets of the mansion that lies on the outskirts of Raccoon City.

  • Transformers: Devastation – PS 4

Drawing on the talents from the original Transformers TV series for the story and voice work, the game should feel pleasantly familiar to fans. Fabled developer PlatinumGames also delivers a fun and rewarding combat system with their signature fast-paced action. With your choice of five Autobots, get in there and battle against the Decepticons and Insecticons to save earth from Megatron’s evil plans.

  • Mad Riders – PS 3

Mad Riders is a fun offroad racing game in which you race around with your friends in ATVs. Collect coins placed along the track to give yourself a boost and rocket ahead of your opponents! You can perform tricks mid air, jumping and dodging obstacles.

  • From Dust – PS 3

Ever wanted to feel like God? Well, here’s your chance. From Dust lets you play as a God from a first person perspective, allowing you to manipulate an archipelago, your aim being to save and enlighten a nomadic tribe, helping them seek their lost knowledge.

  • Code: Realize – The Guardian of Rebirth – PS Vita

maxresdefault-1

Restricted to an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of London in fulfillment of a promise to her father, lonely Cardia lives day to day isolated from the world. Her body carries a deadly poison that rots or melts anything her skin touches, prompting the locals to call her a “monster.” Her last conversation with her father two years ago, telling her to stay out of sight and never fall in love, is the furthest back she can remember.

  • Actual Sunlight – PS Vita

Actual Sunlight is a short interactive story about love, depression and the corporation. The game puts you in the role of Evan Winter, a young professional in Toronto, as he moves through three distinct periods of his life. The story is linear, unavoidable and thought-provoking. You experience his perceptions, fall under the consequences of his decisions, and meet everyone who didn’t change him. Gameplay is minimal, and serves only to move from one part of the (admittedly) text-heavy story to the next. The game fiercely attempts to be worth it.
