Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they have wasted the better half of this year? It feels like just yesterday I was writing up assignments for college and now I’m sitting at the fag end of 2016. If you’re reading this article and wondering how the year went by in the blink of an eye and are in dire need of something to show for the year, I suggest you take part in our first ever Game of Dorms tournament.
Now you might wonder what exactly is this Game of Dorms business and why did I not think of that name!
As you know, we at Gaming Central are trying to portray gaming as a positive sport and lifestyle in India. Over the past few months we’ve done various events where we called both community influencers and gamers to take part in the various activities we had planned for them. But we wanted to get to dig deeper and get to the root of the ecosystem. It is common knowledge that majority of gaming happens with the confines of a college dormitory or hostel, so we wanted to take this one step further and have a college gaming tournament like none before.
We got to talking with various colleges and the students of Shiv Nadar University responded and were ecstatic to hear of this concept. Call it good luck, but it just so happened that their annual college fest was also fast approaching.
After working out the details we are going to be having a DOTA 2 and FIFA 17 PS4 Tournament on the 4th, 5th and 6th of November 2016 at Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida. Participants stand a chance to win cash prizes, trophies, exclusive Sony, AMD and Gaming Central merchandise.
Along with the tournaments we are going to be showcasing VR games at the Gamer Rebellion that will be held on the 4th of November in the college premises.

- Create an account on Gaming Central’s website
- After successfully creating an account, click on the Groups tab
- Once in the Groups section, join the Game of Dorms Group
- Click on forums and you can see various tournaments sign-ups along with their terms and conditions.
