Final Fantasy VIII – Review

Final Fantasy VIII is an open world RPG, based during a time of war between Galbadia -a Global Superpower- who has declared war on Doller, a country from where the protagonists Seifer and Squall Leonhart hail from. Final Fantasy VIII offers yet another great story coupled with thrilling combat and Role Playing experience.

Pros:

  • Originality of story and gameplay
  • The good graphics makes the game look beautiful
  • Combat systems push the player to think during battle and make choices as what they prioritise. 

Cons:

  • Tutorials can’t be skipped. 
  • Characters facial expressions are blank

About:

It is a time of war. The Republic of Galbadia, under the influence of the sorceress Edea, mobilises its great armies against the other nations of the world. Squall and other members of SeeD, an elite mercenary force, join hands with Rinoa, a resistance fighter, to fight against Galbadia’s tyrannical rule and to prevent Edea from fulfilling her ultimate goal.
