The Xbox One could soon get full keyboard and mouse support, as an intriguing tweet from Microsoft’s Phil Spencer indicates. The competition between Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One is quite heated as is — but full keyboard and mouse support could give the Xbox One a significant edge over its archrival. The addition of full keyboard and mouse support would also expand options for users, enabling them to play more titles — including games that are not compatible with a console due to gamepad limitations. This, in turn, would expand the Xbox One’s library even further. Microsoft has not made an official announcement as to when it will add full keyboard and computer mouse support, but Phil Spencer hints in this direction with a recent tweet. Responding to ...
This week’s major updated games are: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman Arkham Knight. Batman Arkham Knight‘s PC version is still not fixed, and after delaying the Batgirl DLC, WB has announced that the latest patch for the game is coming on July 27th. No fixes have been detailed yet, but prepare for one massive patch notes section this time. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a patch this week, the Patch 1.07, and it adds quite a bit, but it also reportedly causes performance slowdowns in consoles. CDPR is already calling it the “Largest patch for the game yet”. The patch is 7.3 GBs on consoles and around 2.2 GBs on the PC. The PC version is just a prep patch and apparently doesn’t do much, with the proper patch arriving soon. You can find a (rather too complete f...

Halo: The Fall of Reach is getting a new animated series. This is the third time this story is getting told, first as a book by Eric Nylund, second as three four-issue comic book series published by Marvel, and now the animated series. The meat of the book takes place in the times before the original trilogy and concerns the pre-war human empire, the murky past of SPARTAN program and origins of Master Chief. The series has a very strong plot (I read the book and the comic. What? I was 15 and a huge Halo fan) and handles delicate topics like the morality during wars and the amount of war atrocities a government can get away with during war times, and we expect the series to be as good as it’s predecessor, Halo Legends. Halo Legends is an awesome watch by the way, boasting talent like ...

Kojima Production is new to the whole multi-platform game thing this generation, but they are trying so very hard to nail PC ports. The Ground Zeroes port was exceptional and ran so well that even mid range PCs maxed it out without breaking a sweat. Now Kojima Productions has taken to Steam forums for user feedback on further improving their PC port. Robert Peeler, MGS’s Community manager, asked for advice on Steam forums for more PC specific features and options. The thread is here and still active at the time of writing, so if you have a specific request, knock yourself out.
