This week’s major updated games are: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman Arkham Knight. Batman Arkham Knight‘s PC version is still not fixed, and after delaying the Batgirl DLC, WB has announced that the latest patch for the game is coming on July 27th. No fixes have been detailed yet, but prepare for one massive patch notes section this time. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a patch this week, the Patch 1.07, and it adds quite a bit, but it also reportedly causes performance slowdowns in consoles. CDPR is already calling it the “Largest patch for the game yet”. The patch is 7.3 GBs on consoles and around 2.2 GBs on the PC. The PC version is just a prep patch and apparently doesn’t do much, with the proper patch arriving soon. You can find a (rather too complete f...
After famously appearing on Sony’s E3 showfloor out of the blue, Shenmue III released a new trailer on Wednesday. The trailer, called Lake of the Lantern Bugs, shows Shenhua and Ryo by a lakeside. Kitguru reported that Arkham Knight won’t come back to Steam until maybe this fall. This comes hot on the heels of the official update on the Steam page by WB, in which they apologised for the debacle again and told that they are “modifying the internal review process for all of our games” and reassured the community that they are “working on [the updated version of the game on PC] every day” and “for the players who are continuing to play Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, fixes are continually being made to the game as we await the final updated version” They also announced that “Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will not be available on July 14 for those who are currently playing the PC version of the game” to “...
Sony showcased a new custom PS4 to go with Destiny’s The Taken King expansion, and it is one of the best looking skins for the console yet, as good looking (or even better, maybe) than the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain bundle. The bundle contains the custom PS4, a glacier white Dualshock 4, a physical copy of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which includes Destiny, Expansions I and II, and The Taken King, along with the custom emotes that the Legendary Edition comes with, which Activision is also selling for $20 as a standalone package. A package this gorgeous for the expansion makes the original Destiny bundle look plain, doesn’t it?

Fortunately for us, shooter season 2015 is right around the corner! Let’s have a look at the homocidal toys Santa has in store for good little murder happy boys and girls: Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One) Halo 5 is the fifth game in the Master Chief saga and 7th or 8th (depending on whether you count ODST or not) title under the Halo series. Kojima Production is new to the whole multi-platform game thing this generation, but they are trying so very hard to nail PC ports. The Ground Zeroes port was exceptional and ran so well that even mid range PCs maxed it out without breaking a sweat. Now Kojima Productions has taken to Steam forums for user feedback on further improving their PC port. Robert Peeler, MGS’s Community manager, asked for advice on Steam forums for more PC specific features and options. The thread is here and still active at the time of writing, so if you have a specific request, knock yourself out.

Console Exclusivity no longer seems to include PCs nowadays. While this might feel shady, and let’s face it, the games are exclusive to a console only because Microsoft or Sony ‘motivated’ the developers, so it’s not exactly gold standard practices, this means that PC gamers now get the windfall in terms of exclusive content. Let’s have a look at the upcoming no-longer-exclusives, shall we? Street Fighter V One of the world’s most played fighting games, Street Fighter V will not be coming to Xbox One. Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono confirmed that the PS4 will be the only console that will have SFV, with emphasis on console, as it also comes to PC. And since Microsoft announced that Killer Instinct is also being ported over to PC, it kinda makes PC the mos...
