This May Be Your Chance To Star In Mass Effect: Andromeda
Brace yourselves for what may be a great opportunity to lend your voice to your favourite sci-fi RPG franchise, Mass Effect. There are two minor roles up fro grabs in the upcoming title Mass Effect: Andromeda. The good news? Bioware is asking fans to voice them. The scripts for both the character roles are available on the Bioware blog. All you have to do is record your reading of the script (either audio or video), and send it to the studio. The entries will be judged “on the quality of your voice performance and how well it matches the Mass Effect style.” The date for entry submission is till 28th September. PlayStation 4 Slim Coming To Stores On 15th September
As promised, Sony revealed a Slim version of the PlayStation 4 at the Sony PlayStation Meeting on 7th September. The PS 4 Slim is essentially the same as its predecessor, but in a smaller form factor and more portability. It offers the same power and internal specification as the original PS 4, and is fully compatible with all the currently available software. The new console also comes with a redesigned version of the DualShock 4. The lightbar is now oriented to face the player a little better, so they can see the notifications prompted by in-game events. The optical port was also dropped out, but apart from that it has the same I/O options. Talking about size, it is supposed to be about 30% smaller than the original PlayStation 4. After the E3 announcement where Bethesda said that they will be bringing the power of mods to consoles, allowing you modify your game as you please, Bethesda recently posted on their website that Sony will not allow the support for mods on the Playstation 4. Mass Effect Andromeda Gets A 4K Gameplay Trailer For PS 4 Pro
A new gameplay trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda was showcased at the Playstation Meeting, showing off the 4K capabilities of the Playstation 4 Pro. The trailer features very unfamiliar alien environments, a new power jump mechanic and the new default Ryder character. As the first official gameplay for the game, it offers significant insight to what we can expect from the game. I mean, 4K is all good, the PS 4 Pro is cool, but I’m definitely more psyched for Andromeda. One of the most talked about news in the gaming world the past week had to be the hike in the PS Plus subscription prices. Existing PS Plus subscribers have long complained that paying for this “exclusivity” doesn’t live up to its hype. CEX Lists Prices For The “Unannounced” PS 4 Slim, Sony Struggles To Contain Leaks
Sony seems to having quite a lot of trouble containing their new upcoming addition to the PS 4 console family, the PS 4 Slim. After the online leak followed by an unboxing, a UK based used goods retailer CEX has now listed the PS 4 Slim for a price of £380. Right now, it doesn’t have any stock available and it might a simple placeholder, but now you know what it’s going to cost on their website come the release date. However, the listing also says that CEX will offer £304 to anyone who wishes to sell their PS 4 Slim to the retailer. Sony Announces Increase In Playstation Plus Membership Price
Starting 22nd September 2016, people looking to join the Playstation Plus community may need to check their wallets for an extra bit of cash. If you sign up for the membership on or after 22nd September, you’ll have to pay $59.99 for a year long subscription. This is a $10 increase from the current price of $49.99 of membership. The monthly subscription in the US will stay at the price of $9.99, but the Canadian membership will go up to $11.99 CAD.
