Call of Duty: Ghosts to feature new multiplayer mode
Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature a new type of hybrid AI-and-human multiplayer experience called Squads. To start off, a player is made to form their own Squad, a group of soldiers with varying perks and load-outs designed to support a certain play style. This squad then builds its way up and progresses as the player unlocks XP throughout the various Squad-centric multiplayer modes. All of the XP earned in each of these Squad modes can then carry over to the multiplayer experience proper. Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC on November 5. The PC specifications for Ubisoft’s upcoming open world game Watch Dogs were accidentally revealed on the Uplay store, declaring the title’s PC edition will only support 64-bit operating systems. It comes as a shock to all of us, Tributes have been pouring in from friends, fellow authors and fans of the American novelist Tom Clancy . Dead at 66, Twitter has been flooded with mourners and well-wishers. Fellow writer Jackie Collins wrote: “RIP Tom Clancy. A great storyteller” He wrote a series of detailed military thrillers, set around the time of the Cold War, many of which were turned into successful films. Actors Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck have all played his most famous character Jack Ryan. The trailer has Ubisoft’s Matt Ryan playing the lead character for the game—Edward Kenway. The trailer focuses on the different characters that will be making appearances in Assassin’s Creed 4. The trailer shows Edward being a brash and hot-tempered guy who wouldn’t let something like common sense get in the way of his goals. Oculus Rift support for more than 90 games
The beta for vorpX, a stereoscopic 3D driver that enables Oculus Rift support to more than 90 DirectX 9 and 11 titles, is now available for $40, the developer announced on its website. Games compatible with the product include Skyrim, Crysis, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Fallout 3 and more. The full list of supported games is available here. According to the developer, a demo will be released in a few weeks. Wii production soon coming to an end
Even though the Wii is without a doubt Nintendo’s top-selling console, recent talks have indicated that production of the device is likely to come to a close. It was revealed on the official Nintendo Japan Wii website that Wii “manufacturing is scheduled to end soon.” No date has been confirmed as of now, and it still remains unclear whether this end in production of the Wii only applies to Japan or to the rest of the world as well. Watch Dogs won’t have players trapped in a small section of the map, waiting patiently to complete enough missions to unlock more areas. Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin told The Average Gamer that the whole Watch Dogs world is “open right at the start”. “You can go anywhere you want. Batman: Arkham Origins Has A Permadeath Mode
Batman: Arkham Origins producer, Guillaume Voghel, has revealed an extra hard “I Am the Night” mode for the game. “We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming pack, that’s really difficult,” he told Eurogamer, “And when you’re done with that there’s I Am the Night mode, which is no saves and one life.” He also explained the first piece of DLC for the game which will see you playing as Bruce Wayne, not Batman. “That’s a really cool one,” he said, “Narratively there’s some added content that will give players a little more background story.” According to Voghel, I Am the Night mode unlocks when players complete the main game and New Game Plus. “The main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours and then you have all the collectibles,” he told Eurogamer. Strong Link Between Gaming And Playing Real Sports
Your endless hours of playing Fifa has finally come good 🙂 New research from ESSEC, one of France’s leading business schools, has found that playing sports videogames can increase participation in real sports, especially among young men and boys. 38 per cent of boys under the age of 21 who play sports games on “active” game consoles practice their favourite virtual sport in real life, while 75 per cent of gamers participate in some kind of real sport, according to the study. “Videogames are frequently demonised.
