FIFA 2014 Midnight Launch
Milestone Interactive Group, the official distributor for Electronic Arts in India, announced today that FIFA 14 will launched at midnight across ten cities in the country. The midnight launch will commence at 11:45 PM on 26th September, 2013. PlayStation games may one day stream directly to PC’s Smart TV’s and even smartphones. Once this phenomenon becomes reality, PlayStation will be seen as more of a service rather than just a mere line of consoles. SCE Worldwide Studios head, Shuhei Yoshida said that the rollout of Gaikai’s cloud services on PlayStation 4 next year is only the start of what the company hopes to achieve, in an interview with Dengeki Online. “Speaking of the ultimate goal, we would like to deliver PlayStation games to all devices,” he said. “So we’re considering various things like PC, TVs, Blu-ray players, smartphones and tablets. This is what Metal Gear Solid 5 gameplay looks like
Konami did a live demo of a Metal Gear Solid 5 mission at TGS (not a real mission, but it does take place in a real game location), running on PS4 and showing off the Fox Engine’s ability to render sunlight. Check the video. MGS: Ground Zeroes has also received a quartet of screens, care of Konami. They show Snake running around a military base. Upcoming Black Ops 2 Maps free for Xbox, double XP for all this weekend
Even though the launch of ‘ Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s next DLC pack is coming out this week. Treyarch has decided to offer double XP in online matches this weekend on all consoles. And to add to that, Xbox 360 players will have access to a free trial of the game’s Uprising DLC for the weekend. The upcoming pack offers players four maps: Magma, Encore, Vertigo and Studio, including the Mob of the Dead zombies map set in Alcatraz. The game has brought in more than $1 billion in its first three days on store shelves, after selling more than $800 million on its first day. The Avengers film surpassed $1 billion in ticket sales ten days after its release in the U.S. and most other countries, according to Guinness World Records. Not from me, of course, because I think high-seas looting sounds great. For those of a more stabby inclination, here’s the video you’ve been waiting for. This multiplayer trailer is packed full of violence. And also the band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, for some inexplicable reason. Those who’ve dipped into the AC games’ surprisingly good multiplayer will recognise much here. That’s not necessarily a bad thing: hunting down prey, while simultaneously trying to make your hunter think you’re an AI NPC, is a pleasant enough way to spend some time.
