Activision this time around is planning to do something quite out of its stride, which is also something they have never attempted in the Call of Duty series. The publisher announced yesterday that it will host a free Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer demo on Xbox Live this weekend for Xbox One and PC.
The promotions will start from the 7th till the 10th of March, and will mark the first time Activision has offered a multiplayer demo for a Call of Duty game.
During this time period, you will be able to try out 3 multiplayer maps (Strikezone, Warhawk, and Prison Break), as well as three multiplayer modes: Search & Rescue, Domination, and Team Deathmatch. You’ll also get to try out the Extinction game mode.
It’s unclear if the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer demo will require Xbox Live Gold. Though Activision has never released a formal Call of Duty multiplayer demo before, the developer did hold a public beta for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007.
