Ever Since Metro Last Light, fans have been itching to play more Metro games. With the announcement of ARTIKA.1 by 4A Games, people thought that another Metro game would be ways away but then came E3 and 4A games dropped the bomb on us and announced Metro Exodus. 4A Games said that the game was kept top secret because they weren’t sure if it would be possible to make the game. They’ve kept up with AAA titles even though they’re a small studio and wanted to do better going forward which is why they kept Metro Exodus a secret for such a long time until they were sure that could deliver.

Andriy Prokhorov, the studio’s creative developer, stated this in a recent interview with Polygon, especially referring to the non-linear gameplay of Metro Exodus
“Why have we kept silent for so long?” Prokhorov asked Polygon. “Because three years ago, we thought this game was almost impossible.”
“It’s really hard work, because [Glukhovsky] is very passionate in person”, the creative director explained. “He’s always trying to get us to do more. ‘Let’s do that!’ Well, you know, it’s technically not impossible, but it’s just not possible. ‘But why?!’”
Prokhorov said about how working with Metro series’ author Dmitry Glukhovsky pushed the game more and more to the limits to offer an amazing experience to the player.
4A Games are very proud of their upcoming game, Metro Exodus and are extremely gracious for the support that they got from the fans of the series.
“We are so proud to finally be able to reveal our next Metro game to the world, and would like to thank all the Metro fans for their patience,” said Prokhorov following the game’s announcement. “Metro Exodus has been in development for three years between our Malta and Kyiv studios, and represents our most ambitious project yet.”
Metro Exodus was announced at E3 this here during Microsoft’s Press Conference and is set to release in 2018 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
