Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin yesterday cleared a rumor about the comparative resolutions for Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
He did so on Twitter, by confirming the game is native 720p on Xbox One (upscaled to 1080p), while the PS4 version is native 1080p.
“Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4,” said Mark.
“We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both,” he added. “Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can’t wait for next week’s launch.”
Microsoft director of product planning Albert Penello said last week that Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One “looks f’n amazing.”
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Wii U next Tuesday, November 5. The Xbox One and PS4 versions will be available as launch titles later in the month.
