For those who couldn’t get into the closed beta for Ghost Recon: Wildlands that happened recently, there’s some good news. Ubisoft has confirmed during an earnings call that an open beta will also be available soon in the coming weeks before the game’s release.
This news doesn’t exactly come as a surprise, as Ubisoft had said in November that Wildlands will get an open beta. The publisher hasn’t announced exactly when the open beta will begin or what content will be available for players to try out, but it’s comforting to know that it is indeed on its way. Ubisoft also announced a short live-action film set in the game’s universe, with the title ‘War Within the Cartel’. The short film is produced by Roberto Orci, who wrote screenplays for Star Trek and The Amazing Spiderman 2, and stars rapper and actor TI. It will premiere on Ubisoft’s Twitch Channel on 16th February.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set to release for the Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 7th March.
