As gamers, we appreciate good story telling. Here is the 2nd part of 5 TV Shows Gamers should watch plus 1 extra cause, we’re just that nice.
Stranger Things
Next up on the list is Stranger Things. If you’re a fan of late 80s early 90s style sci fi, or the works of Stephen King and Steven Spielberg, then this show is right up your alley.
Starting off with a mysterious disappearance of a young man after a glorious game of D&D with his best buds, shit hits the fan, there’s shit everywhere, it’s like a nuclear shitsplosion and it’s wonderful. The show manages to beautifully add a mix of science fiction pop culture references from X-Files to E.T. to some I don’t even understand and it hits that nostalgia g-spot just right. The show features Winona Ryder, the mother of the lost boy who seems to be losing it, David Harbour portraying a cop with a lot of baggage and some of the best child actors to hit the screen who along with 11, the girl who is basically Jean Grey with a fucked up origin go on a fucked up adventure trying to figure out how to get that damn boy out of the upside down, the other dimension which is present between our walls or something like that, while an Anus Faced monster is running around dragging more people into the Upside Down and trying to kill our main protagonists and let’s not forget the government conspiracy involving some pretty shady mind control telekinesis stuff which started the whole mess. Anyway, now they got Trump to worry about.
On a side note, no one cares about you Barbara!
House of Cards
You’d have to be living under a rock if you haven’t yet heard of the TV series that is House of Cards. It is probably one of the most talked about shows on the net and gives us all a break from the constant Game of Thrones of posts that we are trying to avoid.
It is an American political drama web television series which is an adaptation of the BBC’s mini-series of the same name and based on the novel by Michael Dobbs.
As if that wasn’t reason enough for you to watch the show, what if I told you that Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), who becomes the President of America is a gamer. Yes you read that right.
I know what you’re thinking right now, didn’t Spacey act as the villain in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare? In fact, in the first episode itself he is seen to be playing a COD type shooter. Later on in the show he plays games like Monument Valley and Agario. And there are also nods to the Playstation console. All in all, a great show for gamers!
Firefly
Cowboys in space riding horses alongside hovering cars. Need I say more? In the beginning you’ll probably wonder “What’s happening? The fuck is this?” but by the time you get to the end, you’ll be singing the title track, tears in your eyes as you watch the last episode *I don’t care, I’m still free…..You can’t take the sky from me*. All in course of a single season. That’s probably the most disappointing thing about the show, it got cancelled after one season. The best sure die young, don’t they?
Also, don’t miss out the part 1 of the list:

+1 For Firefly. If you’ve watched Firefly and want to watch something that’s similar and epic I highly recommend Cowboy Bebop which is an Anime but trust me, it’s an amazing show.
