We have seen quite a few trailers at Gamescom this year, but sadly none of them were in 4K. But all hope was not lost – for Gears of War released a new gameplay trailer, in glorious 4K resolution.
Focusing on the mission titled “Rescue”, it features JD, Kait and Del chasing down an enemy who’s not known yet, through a battered, old fort. On their chase, they come across two fierce Swarm foes – Pouncers and Drones – for the first time.
In addition to making us feel pathetically sorry for not owning a 4K monitor, the trailer goes to show the immense improvement in graphics since the days of the multiplayer beta. Gears of War 4 is scheduled to release worldwide on 11th October for the Xbox One and Windows 10. It also has the Xbox Play Anywhere feature, meaning you can play it on both the Xbox One and your Windows PC, carrying your save files and achievements along.
