Are you a Windows 10 User? Have you tried reading EULA (“End User License Agreement”) of Windows or any other Software. Well, I assume the answer would be NO!. I myself have never read EULA of any software.
Its been three weeks since Windows 10 has released, the Company has initially announced free OS for a year, however the privacy concerns are bit worrying, Since Default Settings share information with Windows and enable bandwidth will distribute updates with other Windows 10 Users.
So here comes the next big thing from Microsoft, A reporter from Alphr has interestingly read the EULA of Windows 10. It was noted, 7B- section of Windows 10 EULA has some notable and interesting paragraph:
We may automatically check your version of the software and download Software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, Playing Counterfeit games, or using unauthorised hardware peripheral devices.
Well this is really interesting as what this means means is, you can’t play any more pirated Games on your PC. This was first introduced in Xbox, so that users will not be able to play Pirated Games on their Xbox. This has now arrived for Windows 10 users, Microsoft will be scanning your PC for any Pirated Games and Illegalised Hardware stuff on your PC and can block Uncertified PC . Similarly this agreement applies to illegally modified Xbox One and Xbox Live users.
The 7B- Section of EULA isn’t clear yet, Software Geeks are still in Dilemma, Since Microsoft hasn’t mentioned about any Counterfeit Softwares like Office, Adobe Photoshop and other 3rd-party Softwares.
Unlike, Microsoft has mentioned clearly about “Counterfeit Games”. Well it should be taken into consideration since many PC games are being hacked and played. Indie Game Developers and Game Hackers might be really testing up their stuff after this news came out. The other thing Microsoft has mentioned clearly about is “Unauthorized Hardware”, Well that’s pretty vague.. What Does Unauthorized Hardware really mean ? And if you use an Unauthorized Hardware Microsoft will block your PC and list you as an Unauthorized User.
Many Windows Users including Gaming Central Reporters have put a mail to Microsoft regarding this news. We will update when we get a relative reply.
