Best Endless Runners For Your Smartphone

Best Endless Runners For Your Smartphone

If you live in a city like Mumbai, Delhi or Bangalore, you probably spend a decent amount of your time travelling. I spend close to about an hour in the metro everyday and off late have got into the habit of reading articles. But unlike me there are a major chunk of people who prefer to spend their time on other activities like gaming. Casual gaming is gaining popularity like no ones business, and it is all due to the increase of smartphones in the Indian market. There are just so many phones that you can chose from these days and there is simply no scarcity of sales that lure consumers into opting for a better handset.

Anyway, I have compiled a list of endless runners that can take up a lot of your travel time and provide a great deal of entertainment for you.

Temple Run 2

This game is probably the most widely known endless runner there is in the market. Basically you’ve stolen an idol from the temple and are being chased by Evil Demon Monkeys. Imangi Studios have really thought this game through right from the start and have got its users around the world addicted to the game.

Jetpack Joyride

I first played this game on my chrome store. I was so addicted to this game and still am, especially now that it has made its way onto smartphones. Play as Barry Steakfries who looks to break free from his mundane lifestyle and takes on a whole new world with his super awesome jetpack.

Subway Surfers

Probably the second most known endless runner (assuming Temple Run franchise is the first). This game virtually takes you around the world in each of its updates as it travels to new cities across the globe. You can choose from a variety of characters to collect coins and hop from train to train to reach as far as you can along the tracks. You also have a long list of power ups and other add ons you can avail of in this game. I can’t wait for them to come out with an Indian update, following which I’ll turn off the auto update for the game.

Rail Rush

Another game that I used to play on a web browser before continuing it a handheld device. Rail rush is a very simple game, in fact uses very similar mechanics as Subway Surfer and is a great game in itself. I always get that Indiana Jones feeling when I play this game, maybe its the characters hat. Nevertheless, this game is loads of fun and will guarantee you entertaining metro rides to work.

Into The Dead

For those who don’t like the happy, colourful type games, Into The Dead might be one you should like. This game is another endless runner which has zombies in it. A very well though out game as it is sufficiently able to provide the gamer with that sort of a spooky setting. Make your way through the zombie horde with anything you can find to fend off those foul creatures.

Spider-Man Unlimited

By far one of the better endless runners I’ve played. Indeed a heavy game to download, but makes up for it with the cut scenes and add ons that this game has to offer. Gameloft has done a great job in making this game attractive to not only the casual gamer but also to avid Spidey fans. The cel-shaded graphics makes the characters look vivid and dramatic. The endless runner with lots of IAP, gathers 4 different costumes from all over Marvel’s various universes.
