Games That Will Go On Till 2015

Once I started gaming I realised that this is a hobby that can be pretty harsh on your wallet and is not exactly for everybody. I mean sure we’d love to have as many games as we could get our hands on but at the end of the day you can only play one of those games at a time.

Gaming is a field that is starting to gain popularity pretty much all over the world now and as expected value for money is something that this industry needs to cater to. People these days demand games with replay value or plenty of content. Games that take time and effort to complete are the ones that everyone is eyeing, blasting through a game in a day.

2014 has a good year for gaming. It has seen a whole bunch of lengthy titles released in a short period of time, be it remastered versions, brand new titles or even IPs that are pretty in depth.
In this article I will highlight 5 games that we could find ourselves playing well into 2015. So if you’re looking for a game that will keep you busy for a while, I suggest you go through this list.

5. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Whether people want to admit it or not Sledgehammer might have overtaken Infinity Ward and Treyarch as the Call of Duty developer of choice.—that should tell you about how good Advanced Warfare is. The company has been smart about this as it has taken a tried and tested formula and given it a refreshing new twist which results in a experience that is quite rewarding.

Campaign mode would by now be over with. But it is the multiplayer that will bring in players and will continue to do so for some time, especially when the map packs start rolling out.

4. Football Manager 2015

This is a game that I don’t get at times and wonder how anyone has fun playing it. But a close friend of mine whose name I won’t disclose, Mark says that it is easily one of the best games he’s ever played. For a football fanatic this game is almost timeless. This game provides a wide range of challenges and goals thanks to the in depth database and tactic system. Formulating tactics and which are unique and successful result in a surprisingly satisfying feeling.

The thing with this game is you get to have your own fun with it. I’d agree this game is a bit nerdy and stat-heavy but I genuinely fear that if I play this game I would get addicted to it.

3. FIFA 15

This game has a very interesting way to rope players in. Those who spend a lot of cash on Ultimate Team would know what I am talking about. That stinging feeling of guilt and remorse from having spent too much money on virtual cards often causes relapse, bringing players back to FIFA time and again.

No matter what you say about the game, it will keep sucking in players till it’s next iteration comes out in September. You just cannot play one game and leave—after all losing a match drives you prove something in the next while winning leads to cockiness that only more wins could satisfy.

2. Grand Theft Auto V Remastered

Rockstar has a knack for creating breath-taking open worlds, which can be seen in their latest game Grand Theft Auto V. There are only a few other game worlds that feel as alive as San Adreas and the remastered next-gen versions of the game only make better.

Some may say that adding the first person perspective to the game might not have been a step forward for the franchise but it definitely lets your explore the world a step closer and gives you a chance to observe and appreciate the smaller, finer details that Rockstar added to the game.

1. Dragon Age: Inquisition

This game marks Bioware’s return to form and it is quite evident why. Just the number of the quests to find and the size of each map is quite astonishing. Dragon Age 2 was criticised for its lack of content but that is not the case for this game as quests are discovered constantly while exploring.

All this content is backed with a world which is so picturesque that it will bring out the adventurous side in you. Every part is detailed with a great variety of landscapes to discover. There is so much content and ideas that it might take the better part of a year to explore everything this game as to offer.

So there you have it, games that should very well carry on to the next year. Get that itching feeling that there should have been a game on this list that I didn’t mention? Then please let me know in the comments below.
