XCOM 2 Gets Delayed, See You in 2016

PC strategy game XCOM 2 has been delayed. The sequel was expected and announced for a fall release this year but Publishers 2K games and Firaxis today have made an announcement that XCOM 2 is delayed and will be released on February 5 of 2016.

However when compared with the delay of multi-player Shooter game Evolve last year, the delay of XCOM 2 is quite negligible. Well this is quite frustrating, since  fans are waiting for a strategy game like XCOM 2 and this got delayed just like few other got.

2K Game Studios and Firaxis made this announcement publicly through XCOM 2 blog.

Hello XCOM fans,
We want to give you an update on the release date for XCOM 2. We’ve set a high bar for the sequel and the entire team has been working hard to make sure we deliver a great follow-up to Enemy Unknown. We just need a little more time to make it the best possible game.
With XCOM 2, we want to have more depth, more replayability, and more investment in your soldiers and this extension will give us the time we need to deliver on our promise to you.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we move towards February. Good Luck, Commander!
-The XCOM 2 Dev Team

The game will be released only for WindowsPC, OSx and Linux, after 20 years XCOM 2 is serving as XCOM: Enemy Unknown sequel. XCOM 2 will be serving on February 5, 2015, there aren’t any huge Strategy Tactic games listed for 2016, So Keep Calm and Wait for XCOM 2. Publishers 2K games is also working on BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, WWE 2K16 and NBA.
