This year, Microsoft made few great releases and announcements at E3 as well as Gamescom. One of the most grandest release of Xbox One is its DVR functionality, which will be launched in the year 2016.
The full DVR function will be shown up on Xbox One in 2016. Its been a confirmed till date that, Xbox One’s DVR feature will be initially launched for US, Canada and UK territories (as of a report by VG247).
In Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference the DVR was shown off, However a representative of it announced that, the other Xbox One’s Free DVR territories will be released soon and these may include France, Spain, Italy e.t.c., and he also confirmed the release of Xbox One’s free DVR upgrade for US, UK and Canada territories in 2016.
The benefits of DVR function over existing Xbox One are exciting, since this free feature will allow the recording of over-the-air TV and playback on various Windows devices via Streaming, including tablets and PCs using Windows 10 Xbox app and Smartglass. We can also schedule recordings on the go using the Xbox App and Smartglass. The best thing is, DVR functionality will work without an external hard drive.
