The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious,” CD Projekt Red said. “We could have released the game towards the end o...

We were really excited with the build-up to this game and we’re a bit let down with the fact that Thief is a game that fails to step into the shoes of its predecessor in some ways. It is a game that lands on your console full of potential, but loses its steam midway. There are good things about this game, and they bear mentioning. This is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic Thief series, which is given a lot of credit for inventing the modern stealth game. So all you guys who have love stealth games, you should be excited 🙂 A visual update has been made which makes the game look wonderful when it’s running, though we have not checked out the first version of the game since it was release quite a long time back. The movement of the main character Garret, looks and feels great, and he ...
The trials for the beta version of the game opened up to Xbox One players on February 15 before coming to PC, and had supposedly reached this milestone on February 19. Respawn engineer Jon Shiring said that the beta was quite crucial for field-testing Xbox Live Compute, Microsoft’s cloud computing service. “Forza used it a little bit, but they weren’t as reliant on it as we are,” he said. “The game is completely reliant on it. If it’s down, nobody can play.” The developer had identified about ten issues with the game during beta testing and had dealt with them all. But he also said that refining Titanfall will be an ongoing project. Titanfall will be released on Xbox One and PC on March 14 in Europe, March 11 in North America and late March ...
Following up reports from earlier this year, Steve Downes, the voice of Master Cheif, has said that Halo 5 won’t launch until 2015. And for this year we can expect Halo 2 Anniversary Edition. GameZone had an interview with Downes in which he said the following: “I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5. I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2.” Downes’ comments were closely related to the claims of a NeoGAF poster who managed to leak Microsoft’s Xbox One-related plans earlier this month. The poster said Halo 2 Anniversary Edition will come out in two forms: a Collector’s Edition with Halo 5 beta access and a War Collection, which includes all of the above as well as Xbo...
The makers of WWE 2K14 have confirmed that they are going to take on WWE2K15 and that it is already in development. And what’s more exciting is that it will feature on the next gen consoles. A Even though there is no word about whether or not this game would come out on the PS3 and Xbox 360, its fairly safe to assume that they would prepare the game in that version as those consoles are still very popular around the world. Take Two Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick boasted the strong sales of 2K14, which also happened to exceed their sales projections: “Our WWE franchise has quickly proven to be a successful addition to our portfolio Sales of WWE 2K14 have exceeded our expectations and the title is being supported with add-on content including a Season Pass featuring many of fan-favou...
Microsoft already has the rights to the Halo series, and now it’s adding another blockbuster to its stable of franchises: Gears of War. The company announced today that it has acquired the rights for the series from developer Epic Games. While no new Gears of War games were announced, development for the series will be handled by Microsoft Studios’ Vancouver-based subsidiary Black Tusk Studios. Former series producer Rod Fergusson will be joining Black Tusk to “play a key studio leadership role” on the franchise. Phil Spencer, Head of Microsoft Studios, Hanno Lemke, General Manager of Black Tusk Studios at Microsoft Studios, and Rod Fergusson talk about the big news. Why did Microsoft purchase the “Gears of War” franchise? Phil Spencer: It all comes back to our comm...
Since its release, most Xbox One owners have had an issue with the software installation, which is required for all games, is way too long. Microsoft has heard the complaints and themselves feel that it is a concern which should be dealt with, said Xbox executive Phil Spencer. “I agree. We need to get better at chunking our games so the partial install allows game to start sooner,” Spencer said on Twitter. Many gamers were of the opinion that they’d buy more games if installs didn’t take as long as 30 minutes. By “we” we can assume that Spencer is referring to Microsoft Game Studios, which publishes titles like Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3 to name a few. Even though all Xbox One games must be installed, you can start playing before the installatio...
The Xbox One has no shortage of compelling features packed into that black obelisk of a console. Most notable is the Kinect voice command integration for navigating the consoles various menus. When you tell your Xbox One to ‘snap to’, ‘stop listening’, or, in the case of this video, ‘sign out’ you really get to see what the console is capable of. Watch as some unsuspecting Call of Duty: Ghosts players get trolled hard when one clever player exploits the Xbox One’s voice commands. Pretty clever.
Now Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo can all breathe a sigh of relief after China announced it has temporarily lifted its long-term ban on foreign video game consoles, allowing products like the PS4, Xbox One and the Wii U to take a dip into the economy of a potentially massive market. The part that will most likely freak you’ll out is that this ban had been in effect for the past 14 years! Reuters reports that the Chinese State Council now allows these three console manufacturers to make consoles within Shanghai’s free trade zone and then sell them in China, with government consent. “China floated a proposal to lift the ban back in September, with the announcement following a $237 million investment by Microsoft into Chinese TV company BesTV. The country began its console ba...
In a fairly recent interview, Microsoft Studios corporate Vice President, Phil Spencer, had some really nice things to say about Microsoft’s contender, Nintendo. He went on praising Nintendo in various areas, calling Nintendo’s first-party games an “amazing asset” and said that Nintendo’s platforms “are almost in service to the IP – not in a bad way.” He also attributed the positive response of Killer Instinct on the Xbox One to Nintendo, since Rare’s originated from Nintendo. Here’s what more he had to say: Nintendo, I think – and there’s some argument about this – that their first-party is such an amazing asset. Their first party studios and IP can lead what they do as a company and the platforms are almost in service to the IP – not in a bad way. They have such iconic ...
